ABOUT THE ROLE
JOB TITLE: Partner Operations Manager
LOCATION: Milano, hybrid
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent contract
SALARY RANGE: 40-55K depending on seniority
We are looking for a Partner Operations Manager to join our Supply team and take ownership of the end-to-end operational experience for our key business partners: Travel Coordinators, Travel Producers and DMCs.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of technology operations, process excellence and partner experience. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, drive WeRoad's transition toward a unified partner platform, and build the scalable operational infrastructure that supports our growth across our markets.
What you’ll do:
Build scalable operations through process optimisation and automation
Systematically map, redesign and automate partner-facing and internal workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and create a scalable operational engine.
Identify high-impact improvement opportunities through both analytical and qualitative insights, prioritising automation initiatives based on ROI. Build and maintain operational automations using tools such as Google Apps Script, n8n or internal low-code tools.
Define and monitor process KPIs and continuously iterate processes as the partner ecosystem grows.
Drive the evolution toward a unified partner platform
Own the operational technology strategy for the partner ecosystem, supporting WeRoad’s transition toward a single unified platform that replaces fragmented tools and off-platform processes.
Audit the current tools and processes to identify friction points, data quality gaps and integration bottlenecks
Work closely with the Tech team to define and prioritise the One Platform roadmap.
Drive the migration of key processes (e.g. contracts, vouchers, cash fund, travel diary, tips and coordinator-as-a-service based on business impact and implementation complexity).
Strengthen the partner ecosystem and operational experience
Ensure a consistent, high-quality operational experience for our key partners, Travel Coordinators, Travel Producers and DMCs, across all partner-facing activities.
Design and standardise the operating model for travel coordination, including coordinator support, transfer management and partner care across WeRoad and WeRoadX.
Align and continuously improve WeRoadX processes in line with the WeRoad operating model, while respecting the specific needs of the WeRoadX model.
Build and manage partner communication and community initiatives, including the Partners Newsletter, feedback loops and engagement tracking
Lead and scale the Partner Operations team
Lead and structure the Partner Operations team defining clear roles, responsibilities and operational priorities to maximise productivity and scalability.
Set clear objective, support the team’s professional development and run regular performance review
Design and evolve the staffing model for Helpdesk and Partner Managers, ensuring the right operational coverage as partner volume scales.
What we’re looking for:
5+ years of experience in Operations within fast-growing Tech companies or Digital Scaleups. You have a proven track record of managing complex operational ecosystems where technology and human touch intersect.
Partner & ecosystem management: You have experience managing external partner networks at scale (B2B, B2B2C or marketplace models), with a strong understanding of how to balance operational standardisation with partner-specific needs.
Hands-on automation & AI: You don't just spec solutions — you build them. You actively automate workflows using Google Apps Script, n8n or similar low-code tools, and you know how to leverage AI (LLMs, chatbots, AI-assisted workflows) to reduce manual work, improve response quality and scale support operations without scaling headcount.
Data-driven mindset: Numbers don't scare you. You analyse complex datasets to identify bottlenecks, build dashboards to monitor operational health and prioritise team efforts based on measurable business impact.
Cross-functional leadership: You act as the primary bridge between Partner Operations and key internal stakeholders — Tech, Finance, Sales and Customer Care — translating operational needs into product requirements and business decisions.
Team development: You have experience building and growing operational teams, setting clear OKRs/KPIs, supporting individual development and keeping performance high in fast-changing environments.
High-level decision making: You manage escalations and complex issues that require rapid alignment across departments, staying calm and structured under pressure.
You will love working at WeRoad if:
You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn’t think possible. Challenges excite you, and you’re hungry for the next win.
You want to be part of a young, smart, and fun team that shares your passion for travel. You thrive in a community of bold thinkers and doers who challenge and inspire each other.
You’re an entrepreneur at heart, take responsibility from day one, and move fast to make things happen.
You prefer adventure over routine and embrace the fast-paced, ever-changing ride of a scaleup. You make decisions quickly, test, learn, and adapt—because growth comes from action.
You believe in the power of people. Our WeRoaders and Travel Coordinators are at the core of everything we do, and you’re eager to be part of something bigger.
What we can offer
Performance-based bonus – A discretionary annual variable bonus, and based on performance and company results.
A free WeRoad trip every year – Choose your dream destination with €1,400/year travel discount or travel even more as a Travel Coordinator.
Trust-based holidays – We believe performance is driven by impact, not by hours at a desk. You are encouraged to take the time you need to recharge, beyond contractual minimums, within shared guidelines.
Opportunities to learn – We invest in your growth with training and learning opportunities.
New parent support – €3,600/year for 3 years after birth or adoption (or prorated if your child is under 3 when you start at WeRoad).
Extra benefits – Meal vouchers (€8/day), a €1,000 bonus for your wedding or civil union, and one-off bonus when you hit 5 years with us.
Fun – A vibrant co-working space, team buildings and meet-ups.
