The Partner Marketing Strategist is a highly collaborative role, acting as the key marketing contact for the global partnership team, ensuring a high-level of integrated focus and action with product/product marketing. This role is geared to delivering distinctive value to existing and new partners by working along-side the partnership team in applying strategic marketing capabilities and training to result in partner adoption and optimization of Virtuoso products and services with a focus on driving desired business outcomes. This includes working closely with CRM and data analysts to ensure results are analyzed and shared for future optimization.

This role maintains a visible presence among partners by attending, presenting, and training at various meetings and events (in person and virtual). Another critical dimension to this role is extracting, reporting on and helping to prioritize input on needs and opportunities which inform product development and marketing messaging.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Collaborates with partner team to understand partner business needs and translate these desired business outcomes into strategic marketing plans which optimize Virtuoso products and services to deliver distinctive value – to goal/target.
  2. Collaborates with CRM/data teams and partnership team to test and learn how new Virtuoso targeting and segmentation capabilities can be applied with a focus on both customer goals and future value to Virtuoso at scale.
  3. In collaboration with Product Management, Marketing teams, and partner teams, formulate product strategies and pricing packages/bundles which focus on meeting business needs at price points partners will purchase and profit margins Virtuoso seeks.
  4. Works with partner team to present/deliver presentations and articulate the value of Virtuoso marketing programs and products.
  5. Collaborate with Product Marketing and Network team to identify and develop key marketing tools, presentation needs and support the delivery of product marketing to partnership team through training, ongoing Q&A and partner meeting participation.
  6. Attend key Virtuoso events and meetings as marketing representative to answer member questions, train and present new Marketing initiatives with a specific partner view.
  7. Gather and synthesize candid partner feedback about Virtuoso’s products and partner needs; collaborate with Product teams to formulate plans and strategies to address them. This includes reporting any trending themes as well as supporting product specific collaboration teams (offer topics, facilitate discussion, etc.).
  8. Provide marketing product updates to global partnership and account management teams.
  9. In collaboration with product marketing, manage, produce, and present training and other content about Virtuoso products of value to partners; update and maintain product presentations to remain relevant as product offerings evolve.
  10. Leverage the ingenuity and strength of our network by uncovering and sharing partner best practices in marketing – focus on developing tangible case studies backed by data in tandem with CRM and analytics teams.
  11. Participate in partner strategy sessions alongside partnership team leads.
  12. Host Network Calls for partners along with partner marketing as needed to communicate important updates and best practices as needed.
  13. Present products at requested events such as On Tour, Forum, VTW, new partner onboarding, etc.
  14. Help prioritize needs/wish lists with product teams and validate that product solutions and features will meet partner needs.
  15. Support product, product marketing and account directors from each global region to determine best timing and methods for product/feature roll out in their region.
  16. Play key role in collaborating and supporting partnership team and working with product marketing to grow marketing revenue by vertical and region. This includes collaborating on developing partner growth goals as well as Virtuoso growth goals.
  17. Provide insights which contribute to forecasting based on opportunity and demand.

Educational and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
  • 7+ years of related work experience in a marketing role
  • Work history reflecting ability to excel in the responsibilities of the position
  • Travel industry experience highly desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Excellent written communication skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Infrequent travel may be required to attend company events (1-3 trips per year).
  • Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.

  • Internal: Key job contacts are primarily with managers and executives outside of the job’s immediate work unit/department.
  • External: Contact with Virtuoso members, partners, and outside vendors.
