Role Overview
We’re looking for a Community Management Intern to help us grow, engage, and nurture our online communities. You will support our team in managing social media channels, Substack, Reddit, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms. This role is ideal for someone who loves digital communities, storytelling, and engaging with people online.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Support: Assist with content scheduling, engagement, and monitoring across platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Substack: Help draft, format, and publish weekly newsletters; manage subscriber engagement.
- Reddit & Niche Forums: Monitor relevant subreddits, join conversations authentically, and contribute thoughtful posts that build brand presence.
- Pinterest: Curate and upload travel-related boards and pins to inspire our community.
- Community Engagement: Respond to comments, messages, and community posts to foster trust and dialogue.
- Content Ideas: Brainstorm fresh and creative ways to engage communities around safaris, travel tips, and storytelling.
- Analytics Support: Track and report basic engagement metrics to understand what resonates.
Requirements
- Strong interest in social media, community building, and digital storytelling.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Creative, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, Reddit, Substack a plus).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Passion for travel, wildlife, or sustainability.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Canva, Buffer, Later, or similar scheduling/design tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, or community growth strategies.
