As a destination management assistant at Tukio, you will be at the forefront of speaking to, sorting and selecting our curated supply partners for accommodation, transportation and activities at each of our destinations. You will also get the opportunity to assist Tukio customers in the creation and booking of their own itineraries.
Role Overview
You’ll work closely with the founder to:
- Organize and assess accommodation and activity supplier data.
- Select and prioritize listings that match Gotukio’s standards for quality, price, and user experience.
- Create and format listings on the platform, ensuring accurate descriptions, prices, images, and policies.
- Validate that itineraries and pricing structures make sense from a travel logic and cost-efficiency perspective.
- Assist in categorizing listings per region, type, and suitability (e.g., luxury, family-friendly, budget).
- Flag any inconsistencies or gaps in supplier data and follow up when necessary.
- Support Tukio customers in creating and booking the perfect itinerary.
You Should Be:
- Experienced with African safari travel, or at least very familiar with how itineraries and lodges typically work.
- Meticulous with data entry and pricing logic - you’ll be dealing with rate sheets, seasonality, and complex packages.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets, content management systems, and supplier PDFs.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workflow while updating the team on progress.
- Ideally, someone with prior experience in travel operations, destination management, or OTA back-end work.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with safari destinations like Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, etc.
- Previous work with DMCs, lodges, or travel marketplaces.
