Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer with exemplary customer service. You will be the primary contact for all technical and IT-related queries for all the systems onsite. As such, we are looking for an all-rounder who loves problem-solving and thrives on learning new and different technologies. You will also be a strong completer-finisher, with a desire to respond/oversee to all queries in a timely and professional manner. This position would be an ideal step up for someone who is keen to progress beyond desktop support.
You will report directly to the Desktop Support Manager in Shanghai. You will work in a collaborative way to implement best-practice IT solutions while maintaining ongoing customer service.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
-Responsible for maintaining the normal operation of Trip.com internal clients;
-Responsible for hardware malfunction handling, such as client, network, printer, etc.;
-Maintain and support the internal client application systems;
-Responding to client requests and requirements in a timely manner;
-The distribution, installation and troubleshooting of the client batch software;
-Responsible for cabling within the site and liaising with external suppliers as necessary;
-Assist in set up, control and maintain as necessary the security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, and environmental monitoring;
-Based in Hong Kong, support local and remote users (mainly covering Taiwan and South East Asia area)
-Assist in ad hoc assigned projects;
-Maintain IT assets inventory
What you'll Need to Succeed:
-Degree at HNC/HND/Ordinary/Bachelors level in a computer-related discipline or equivalent experience;
-Have experience in providing IT support in fast pace environment;
-A minimum of 5 years of IT Support related experience; Managed a team size of 5 is preferred
-Able to work with minimal supervision;
-Has basic network troubleshooting knowledge, having CCNA would be a bonus;
-Familiar with security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, and environmental monitoring and a desire to learn new and different technologies in these fields;
-Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.);
-Prior experience in managing M365 & Intune would be a bonus;
-Knowledge in configuration management and routine maintenance of the AD, mainstream Windows and Mac systems, and mobile systems;
-Good at communicating with others in a proactive manner;
-Passionate about new technologies and demonstrable enthusiasm for keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and solutions;
-Previous experience in sourcing and managing external suppliers;
-Solid IT service process experience and familiarity with the ITSM system;
-Familiarity with AI tools within the scope of IT services would be a bonus;
-Prior experience or skills on leading a team achieving the organizational goal would be an advantage;
-Mandarin capability would be an advantage due to communication with Shanghai HQ;
