About Us

We're TravelPerk, a hyper-growth SaaS platform offering companies a one-stop-shop for booking, managing and reporting business travel.

Our aim is to revolutionise the $1.3 trillion business travel market by combining an unrivalled choice of travel options with a powerful booking and management platform and access to 24/7 customer support we’ve become the leading all-in-one travel management solution.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Barcelona, we’ve grown to over 1200 people in 9 offices across Europe and North America. In 2022 we became a ‘unicorn’ and in 2024 we raised $104 million in additional investment, with a total valuation of $1.4 billion.

We’ve been winning awards too. Since 2023, we’ve been voted one of the best places to work, one of the fastest-growing apps and tech companies, and a leading pioneer of business travel.

These are just some of the reasons why global brands like Wise, Red Bull, GetYourGuide, and Aesop trust us to supercharge their corporate travel.

The Role

As we prepare for further growth, we want to level up our People strategy and move the team towards a more agile, product-driven function with a customer-centred approach. We're on a mission to work even smarter and faster to minimise effort across the employee lifecycle. Less clicks, assumptions, and complexity. More powerful insights and solutions.

This is where you'll come in. As our first People Projects & Insights Director, you'll lead a team of three focused on three pillars: People Improvement Projects, People Insights & Analytics, and People Tools & Systems. Reporting to the VP of People, Flick, this is a permanent role with high visibility and huge potential to drive significant change.

You'll drive the innovation engine across the People team with data-led solutions tailored to their unique business needs rather than traditional HR practices. You'll ask the tough questions and facilitate complex change projects. You'll act as a trusted advisor to your peers and the leadership team to anticipate and tackle the hard people challenges that come with growth.

What you will be doing?

People Improvement Projects

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of business issues and how they translate into people strategy and leadership goals.
  • Running complex diagnostic and improvement initiatives designed to improve the employee experience.
  • Facilitating the wider team and acting as a hands-on program manager when needed to drive complex projects with a design thinking approach.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with business leaders across various disciplines and geographies to understand problem spaces and create tailored solutions.

People Insights & Analytics

  • Defining and reporting on meaningful metrics to measure effectiveness and performance tailored to each organisation's needs.
  • Providing strategic insights, data-driven recommendations, and thought leadership to the business to define organisational design and priorities.
  • Thinking critically about organisational strategy and data and how you structure and communicate your ideas.
  • Investing in developing the People team to support the growth of their analytical skills.

People Tools & Systems

  • Managing the tech and systems required to support employee life today and for future growth.
  • Evaluating, selecting, and streamlining the People tech stack to support the various needs across the business.
  • Redefining current processes and implementing best practices using innovative and technology-led solutions.

Your goal

  • A 7-star employee experience. Clarity on the most impactful problems the People team should solve with a systematic project plan to facilitate change.
  • Be an owner of solutions. Moving the business and people team away from assumptions by identifying the most critical insights.
  • Impact over effort. Wide adoption of the people tools and dashboards needed to minimise the workload across the business.

What will make you a great fit?

  • This differs from your typical People role, and we know the right person might not be very obvious on paper.
  • We're open to different backgrounds as we're looking for more of a consultancy-style mindset mixed with the agility needed to deliver in a hyper-growth tech company - 1,000 to +3000 employees.
  • We'll need to see recent examples of identifying and solving the similar People challenges that come with scale across the three core pillars. Best-in-class strategy consulting or organisational management experience will be a huge plus.
  • You'll need to be passionate about improving the employee experience with examples to support your obsession with simplicity.
  • You will be naturally curious and have a track record of implementing ambitious and creative solutions with a product mindset. You'll need the gravitas to build relationships quickly at all levels, applying influence to deliver results without always having formal authority.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills will be critical for executive-level collaboration. We're all about concise comms, so you'll be someone who can make your point quickly backed with data. You won't be precious about your level, and I'll be happy to flex from Director to IC to be hands-on when needed.
  • Ultimately, you'll be humble and not take yourself too seriously. You don't need to be the loudest in the room, but people must love working with you to buy into your ideas.
