Role Summary

The Business Development Representative plays a critical support role in driving revenue growth and expanding Travel Collection Limited’s presence in the U.S. market. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role is responsible for supporting sales strategy execution, managing travel advisor relationships, generating new business opportunities, and representing TCL at industry events.

This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional with** **3–5 years of experience in travel or hospitality sales or Biz Dev who is eager to grow into a senior business development role within a fast-scaling global DMC organization. The role directly supports the business development strategy, partner engagement, reporting, and market expansion initiatives led by the Head of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Support

  • Support execution of TCL’s business development strategy across assigned regions and accounts
  • Assist in identifying, qualifying, and developing new travel agency, advisor, and consortia relationships
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular outreach, follow-up, and relationship management
  • Help achieve assigned revenue targets and advisor engagement metrics

Client & Partner Engagement

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for travel advisors and agency partners
  • Support onboarding, education, and ongoing engagement of agency partners
  • Assist in organizing and executing roadshows, sales calls, and presentations alongside the Head of Business Development and destination GMs
  • Ensure timely follow-up with prospective and existing partners

Trade Shows & Events

  • Represent Travel Collection Limited at trade shows, industry events, and consumer-facing events
  • Support event logistics, attendee follow-up, and lead capture
  • Travel to support events for other regions or team members as needed

Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all Biz Dev activities, contacts, and opportunities in the CRM
  • Track outreach, meetings, leads, and conversions against defined KPIs and campaigns in Salesforce, Sheets and Hubspot
  • Assist with market research, competitive analysis, and intelligence gathering
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to the Head of Business Development to support strategic decision-making

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing consultant to support campaigns, social content and promotional initiatives
  • Coordinate with destination GMs and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff of confirmed business

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management preferably within the travel or hospitality industry
  • Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
  • Proficiency in Google (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
  • Comfort using CRM systems and sales tools (expect to use Salesforce and Hubspot)

Preferred

  • Experience working in the travel industry or with luxury travel advisors
  • Experience supporting trade shows, roadshows, or industry events
  • Familiarity with the U.S. travel advisor landscape

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) up to 40% of the time
  • Ability to lift and transport materials up to 35 lbs (trade show materials, collateral, etc.)
  • Ability to carry a laptop in carry-on luggage when traveling
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to receive and store sales collateral and materials in a home office environment
