About Protect Group
Protect Group specialises in enhancing customer experience and generating additional revenue for businesses through innovative technology solutions. Founded in 2016, we’ve rapidly grown to serve over 400 business partners across 75+ countries, with a presence in 12 global offices. Our dynamic, AI-driven widget integrates seamlessly into online booking and sales platforms, providing customer-centric solutions that boost satisfaction and ancillary revenue without significant upfront costs. At Protect Group, innovation is at our core — we continuously seek new ideas and technologies to stay ahead in today’s fast-changing market.
As a part of the Protect Group team, you will join a community that values collaboration and a shared purpose, fostering a strong sense of community. We believe in accountability and owning our responsibilities, ensuring that we deliver on promises and find solutions when challenges arise.
'Protect People' are talented, ambitious, and passionate individuals who bring energy and enthusiasm to their work every day. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for disrupting global industries across transportation, travel, hospitality, events, and financial services, driving continuous growth and success.
The Role
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and own the North American market for Protect Group. You will be the face of the business across the US and Canada, generating new revenue from scratch through your existing network, channel partnerships, and targeted outreach. This is not a role for someone who needs a warm pipeline handed to them. You will prospect, pitch, close, and manage relationships across travel, ticketing, events, transport, and hospitality. You will report directly to senior leadership, communicate with confidence at the C-level, and take full ownership of your territory.
If you have spent your career building pipelines from zero, handling objections under pressure, and turning conversations into signed agreements, this role is built for you.
What You Will Do
Revenue Generation
- Build a pipeline from your existing network and through creative prospecting beyond cold email and LinkedIn.
- Attend global conferences and industry events as the primary Protect Group representative in North America.
- Pitch and present via video call and in person, then develop commercial proposals in partnership with the finance team.
- Close new business and own the full sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement.
Strategic Planning
- Set and track half-yearly OKRs aligned to revenue targets.
- Submit accurate pipeline forecasts and progress reports to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
- Identify market opportunities across the travel industry.
- Contribute to product positioning and go-to-market strategy based on market feedback.
Partner Management
- Develop deep, long-term relationships with key accounts and distribution partners.
- Work cross-functionally with integration, product, and finance teams to move deals from signed to live.
- Maintain accurate, complete deal records in HubSpot so any opportunity is self-explanatory at the C-level without additional context from you.
What We Are Looking For
Non-Negotiable
- 8+ years of business development experience in Travel and Technology.
- Proven track record of building pipelines from scratch and closing six-figure deals.
- Comfortable presenting and negotiating at C-suite level.
- Eligible to work in the US or Canada without visa sponsorship. No travel restrictions.
The Mindset We Hire For
- You take ownership. If something is not moving, you find a way to move it.
- You are resilient. You handle objections without losing momentum.
- You are strategic. You qualify hard, prioritise well, and do not chase dead ends.
- You communicate with precision. You keep leadership informed without being told to.
- You are self-directed. You do not need a manager telling you what to do each day.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS, ancillary revenue, insurance technology, or fintech products.
- Existing network across OTAs, booking platforms, or travel groups.
How to Apply
Send your CV and one paragraph: a pipeline you built from zero and the number you closed. That tells us more than any cover letter.
