The Role

We are seeking an ambitious, results-driven, and highly capable Country Manager to lead and aggressively drive Protect Group's growth across Korea. This senior role demands both deep country leadership (across all verticals including event ticketing, hospitality and regional commercial ownership for the Travel & OTA sector.

The ideal candidate will be a true leader and hunter with a proven track record of securing new enterprise-level business, managing complex sales cycles, and developing a sustainable market strategy. You will leverage your native Korean language skills, deep understanding of the Korean market, and extensive experience in relevant verticals to secure strategic partnerships with leading brands in Korea and oversee commercial execution for the regional Travel/OTA sector.

Key Responsibilities

Country Leadership & Strategy (Korea)

  • Responsibility for the growth, strategic direction, and performance of Protect Group within the entire Korean market.
  • Multi-Vertical Growth: Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new high-value business opportunities across all Protect Group verticals in Korea, including Travel, Hospitality, Ticketing/Events, Airlines, and Financial Services.
  • Market Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the Korean market, including target account lists, sales forecasts, and market penetration plans to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Regional Focus & Key Account Acquisition (Travel/OTA)

  • Regional Commercial Oversight: Provide leadership and oversight for key enterprise business development initiatives within the APAC Travel & OTA sector, potentially managing or coordinating with BDM resources in other regional markets.
  • Key Account Acquisition: Focus on securing and onboarding strategic, enterprise-level partnerships with leading Korean and regional OTAs.
  • Executive Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (C-level, VP of Commercial, Product, and Strategy) in target accounts across both Korea and the wider region.

Sales Execution & Internal Collaboration

  • Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial cold-call and pitch to negotiation, contract finalisation, and successful "Go-Live" handoff to the Partnerships team.
  • Product Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on Protect Group's offerings (Refund Protect and Protect Plus), effectively communicating their value proposition and technical integration requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal global teams, including Product, Technology, Legal, and Partnerships, to ensure seamless sales execution and partner satisfaction.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and product needs within the Korean market to inform company strategy.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data, pipeline, and forecasts in the company CRM system.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Language Fluency:
  • Native/Bilingual fluency in Korean is required for effective communication and negotiation with Korean enterprise partners.
  • Fluent professional working proficiency in English is essential for internal reporting and communication with the global team.
  • Experience: Proven track record (minimum of 5+ years) in B2B Business Development or Enterprise Sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Country/Regional capacity, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Sector Expertise: (min 10 years) Deep commercial understanding and sales experience within the Travel & Tourism sector (OTAs, airlines, or major regional travel companies).
  • Multi-Vertical Acumen: Experience navigating sales cycles in other major verticals (e.g., Ticketing, Financial Services, SaaS) is highly advantageous.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to define a clear market strategy, lead initiatives independently, and take full commercial ownership of a territory.
  • Sales Acumen: Exceptional networking, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable discussing platform integrations, APIs, and data-driven solutions; proficient with CRM software.
