Note: This is a hybrid home and remote working role with a minimum of three days per week office attendance.

We are seeking a skilled backend PHP developer to join our team during a transformative period of growth and innovation. This pivotal role involves working on integrating various travel accommodation supplier APIs, channel managers, and API aggregators, primarily within our Laravel based business systems.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, ready to tackle challenges in developing and maintaining sophisticated API integrations. If you have a solid background in PHP and Laravel, coupled with a knack for analytical problem-solving, we would be excited to have you on board.

What you'll be doing:

• Implementing and maintaining integrations with holiday accommodation supplier APIs, channel managers, and API aggregators within our Laravel applications.
• Collaborating with project managers and internal stakeholders, and suppliers to develop service logic that aligns with specific business requirements.
• Writing clear, maintainable, and reusable PHP code, along with comprehensive documentation for future reference.
• Engaging in regular testing and validation of service logic, including the use of automated testing platforms and conducting system tests.

What you need (experience and skills):

• Proven experience in PHP development, particularly with Laravel frameworks, in a professional environment
• Experience of consuming REST APIs that model real-world business logic
• A strong grasp of essential software development practices and tools, including Git version control  and automated testing
• Proven problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail, with a track record of identifying and rectifying programming issues
• Experience of working with key stakeholders to understand business requirements

We'd also love to see (but it's not a requirement):

• Experience working in the travel industry
• Additional experience with other programming languages and frameworks, adding versatility to our development team
• Knowledge of Linux hosting environments and server administration
