For KAYAK’s global communications team, we are looking for a highly motivated, travel enthusiastic Senior PR Specialist (parental cover, fixed term), to help us run momondo PR in Denmark and Sweden.
momondo is an award winning, global travel search site, managed by KAYAK, headquartered in Copenhagen where the Senior PR Specialist role is based. You will report to the Director, PR, based in Berlin, and work closely with the international momondo/KAYAK PR team globally!
As momondo’s Senior PR Specialist, you will be leading all PR activities in your region, while taking on ownership of external global projects.
In addition to collaborating with our hand-picked agency partners, you are responsible for the conceptualisation, planning and implementation of momondo’s PR activities in both countries, to further strengthen momondo’s position as industry leader.
In this role, you will:
- Lead momondo PR for the Danish and Swedish markets, including planning, coordinating and developing a structured PR plan in close collaboration with internal teams, and managing day-to-day contact with our external PR agency partners
- Work closely with the Nordics Brand team to support ideation, scoping and management of creative campaigns, events and projects across Denmark and Sweden
- Manage media enquiries, including collaborating with key spokespeople and media in Denmark and Sweden, and support Senior Management for and during media interviews with B2C and B2B media
- Create locally tailored campaign ideas, revise press releases, analyze and translate research insights into newsworthy media stories
- Pulling and analyzing data to support PR activities and work with external partners to develop research and surveys that can support cross-market and cross-brand PR campaigns
- Monitor, evaluate and measure media presence and performance in Denmark and Sweden, including reporting of results to internal stakeholders
- The role will be primarily focused on leading all aspects PR in Denmark and Sweden, with the option to support the EMEA and global PR team and/or international projects
Please apply if you have:
- A degree in Communications, PR or Journalism (similar degrees may be considered, dependent on the relevancy of your skills and experience)
- 3+ years of experience in PR (agency or in-house); if in-house, we would like experience in working with and/or managing external agencies
- Proven track record of successfully placed media articles, showcasing their creative and out of the box thinking to identify newsworthy story angles
- A network of media contacts in Denmark and ideally Sweden, and have successfully generated media articles in consumer media
- Worked with consumer/e-commerce brands previously
- A talent for project management, from the start of a campaign, to its successful completion
- A self-starter mentality, with ability to multitask, with a high attention to detail
- The ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional English language skills, other language skills are a big plus
