KAYAK is currently seeking a dedicated, experienced and entrepreneurial Ad Sales Manager to join our KAYAK Media team.

In this role you will help accelerate our largest growth segments, as well as develop agency relationships and new business opportunities in North America. This candidate will work closely with global members from the Commercial team at large and will thrive in a fast paced, data-driven environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the sales pipeline across some of our largest tourism boards, finance, travel ancillary, and brand partners
  • Work with sales leadership and in house agency (K Media) to grow our 360 offerings for advertisers
  • Expand our destination marketing capabilities and assist with guiding our strategy
  • Build strategic proposals, media plans and presentations for your advertisers based on their campaign goals and measurement objectives
  • Review and respond to RFPs working with teams internally to develop curated proposals and creative opportunities to integrate with our travel and dining brands
  • Close new business by connecting with and educating prospective advertisers
  • Conduct in person meetings and attend industry conferences
  • Leverage our vast amounts of easily accessible data to better understand platform trends and insights
  • Collaborate closely with the client success team to actively monitor performance and maintain consultative relationships with advertisers that include ongoing optimization recommendations
  • Contribute to team strategy and processes to drive long-term advertiser success
  • Evangelize KAYAK’s value proposition and the power of Travel Metasearch
  • Stay attuned and responsive to the evolving competitive landscape of digital advertising and travel search sites to help identify and supply ideas on how we can remain best-in-class

Please apply if:

  • 5-7 years of digital advertising sales experience or similar work history
  • Travel/Tourism experience preferred
  • Experience in Sponsorship Sales and/or Integrated Media programs
  • Excels at selling new-to-market products and services
  • Advanced presentation, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (with a can-do attitude!)
  • Goal driven and ambitious self-starter with ability to deliver on targets without constant supervision
  • Deep understanding of the online media industry and/or travel in relation to your function, as well as more broadly.
  • Good sense of humor and loves working in an unstructured, fast paced environment
  • HUNGRY to learn/great teammate
  • Willingness to travel
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Business preferred, but not necessary

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is $80,000 - $100,000.

In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible for additional compensation and benefits including: commission-based compensation; health benefits; flexible spending account; retirement benefits; life insurance; paid time off (including PTO, paid sick leave, medical leave, bereavement leave, floating holidays and paid holidays); and parental leave and benefits.
