Job Overview:

We're looking for an AR Reconciliation Specialist to join our growing Finance Team. In this role, you'll act as a key liaison between our FinOps (AR) and Accounting departments. You'll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate collection of commissions and performing essential accounting tasks to support our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile cash received with our accounts receivable records.
  • Perform daily reconciliations of accounts receivable, including matching payments and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections by overseeing the AR email inbox and making outbound calls to accelerate the payment process.
  • Create journal entries for financial corrections in the general ledger (GL).
  • Process credit notes and invoice adjustments.
  • Assist with customer account reconciliations and perform ad hoc reporting.
  • Maintain accurate customer account information in our financial systems and assist with onboarding.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks associated with the role.

Requirements:

  • 2–3+ years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience in both accounts receivable and general ledger reconciliation.
  • High degree of numerical aptitude, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with Intercom or other CRM tools is a plus.
  • Background in the travel and hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to act as a bridge between two different departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work during Eastern Timezone business hours (United States).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to prioritize and manage expectations.
  • The contractor must provide their own equipment (computer and internet connection).
  • Willing to co-work in the office once a month (General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite) and attend team meet-ups.

Compensation:

  • Independent full-time remote contractor position with an initial hourly rate of $8, based on experience.
