Since our founding in 2021 by experienced travel entrepreneurs Henley Vazquez, Jake Peters, and Evan Frank, Fora has experienced rapid growth, expanding to a team of 130+ full-time employees based in downtown New York City. About The Role
As Fora’s Creative Director, you will elevate and unify our brand identity, bringing Fora to life across all touchpoints and ensuring that all of our brand experiences reflect a consistent creative vision. Reporting to the VP of Brand & Content, you’ll build a world-class creative function while acting as a thought partner across the organization, translating strategy into creative direction that drives meaningful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
First 1-2 months:
- Take over directing the creation of high-impact assets for performance marketing campaigns to drive customer acquisition and conversion
- Partner with our product design team to make targeted, quick-impact updates to our brand book, laying the foundation for further evolution of our visual identity
- Hire additional team members to grow our in-house creative services team
Over time, you will also:
- Lead creative direction across all marketing and experiential work, overseeing concepting and execution for both digital (web, social, video, email) and IRL and OOH expressions of our brand (conferences, live activations, print collateral, merch, and more).
- Guide Fora’s overall brand look, feel, and voice so it stays consistent across every channel.
- Manage and maintain a trusted roster of freelancers, agencies, or vendors to augment the work of our in-house team.
- Set clear creative processes and timelines to deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget.
- Partner closely with colleagues in product design, as well as content, growth, advisor experience, strategic partnerships, and more, to ensure a seamless brand experience across all touchpoints.
- Track results of creative work and use data to inform creative decision-making and improve future campaigns.
- Responsibly use AI to support your workflow while keeping human creativity at the forefront
Requirements
- 8–10+ years in creative roles, including at least 3 years in a senior leadership capacity directing multi-disciplinary teams; experience with travel and/or lifestyle brands strongly preferred
- Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, strategic creative across digital, social, and brand campaigns; experience with high-impact paid social campaigns a major plus
- Deep understanding of brand systems, campaign design, and marketing creative
- Proven ability to coach and develop high-performing creative talent and manage external resources while building efficient operations and scalable processes
- Highly collaborative, with exceptional presentation skills and the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
- Avid consumer of culture, media, and social trends, with an instinct for what resonates with audiences
- Fluency with design, art direction, photography, copywriting, and/or video production, plus familiarity with modern design tools and platforms
- Highly organized, adaptable in an ambiguous and fast-changing environment, and willing to roll up your sleeves to produce or edit assets when needed
- Curious about and excited to explore how emerging AI can support creative functions
Compensation
Compensation range for this role can vary widely depending on experience, and for this role an indicative range is $150,000–$190,000 + equity.
