ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY...
The Data Analyst and Engineer play a pivotal role in the dynamic world of data management and analysis, expertly crafting and maintaining sophisticated data infrastructure and analysing the underlying data to provide accurate reporting and actionable insights.
This ensures seamless processing, storage, and retrieval of data, empowering organisations with accurate and timely reporting and insights. Their expertise not only drives innovation but also enhances the organisation's ability to make data-driven decisions with confidence and precision.
DAY TO DAY YOU WILL...
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions to maintain smooth operations
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, consistency, and compliance with governance standards
- Champion a culture of data-driven thinking across loyalty, brand, and broader business teams
- Create and implement data models that support business requirements and analytics needs
- Optimise data infrastructure and processes to improve performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with technology teams to support automation initiatives and maximise the value of data
- Integrate data from internal and external systems to deliver a unified and consistent view of information
- Partner with business stakeholders to support data-driven decision making and performance optimisation
- Analyse and report on loyalty metrics and KPIs including member lifetime value, earn rates, and redemption rates
- Develop reporting assets and frameworks that provide actionable insights across loyalty programs and customer initiatives
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources into data lakes and lakehouse environments
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive
YOU'LL BE PERFECT IF YOU HAVE...
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification desirable
- Experience measuring and analysing loyalty program performance
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud ETL tools and Azure DevOps
- Strong proficiency in SQL, descriptive analytics, reporting, and Power BI
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification desirable
- Experience working collaboratively across data, technology, and business teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience designing and maintaining modern data infrastructure and ETL solutions
- Demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable business insights and measurable outcomes
- 4+ years' experience delivering analytics solutions, ideally within retail or customer-facing environments
