As the Head of Security Architecture and Consulting, you will lead FCTG’s centre of excellence for security governance, architecture, and consulting. You will play a critical role in translating the CISO’s strategic vision into practical, scalable security frameworks that protect business assets, support innovation, and enable growth across a global organisation.
This is a highly influential leadership role where you will shape security standards, mentor security professionals, and guide enterprise-wide architecture decisions, including emerging AI security capabilities. You will collaborate with senior leaders across technology, privacy, risk, and business teams to strengthen FCTG’s security posture and drive best practice security outcomes.
Day to day:
- Lead the security architecture and consulting function as the organisation’s security centre of excellence.
- Operationalise the CISO’s information security strategy and ensure alignment to business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals.
- Provide expert security architecture and consulting guidance to business stakeholders and external partners.
- Represent FCTG across industry forums, conferences, and cybersecurity working groups.
- Own, govern & maintain the enterprise security policy and standards framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and evolving threats.
- Design and maintain enterprise security reference architectures, including AI related security integration patterns
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
- Own and develop the security architect community across business teams.
- Provide strategic oversight of cybersecurity risk identification, assessment, and mitigation activities.
- Partner with privacy, enterprise security, risk, and technology teams to deliver secure business outcomes.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.
You'll be perfect for the role if you have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior security leadership and/or security architecture role
- Deep knowledge of security architecture frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF, and NIST CSF
- Demonstrated experience applying architecture standards within complex global organisations, including AI security architecture
- Proven ability to author clear technical standards, requirements, and reference architectures
- Experience working within distributed global business environments and influencing diverse stakeholders
- Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
