About the Team

The Activities Experience team sits within Brand Expedia (BEX) Product team at Expedia Group. We own the Things To Do marketplace — the tours, attractions, and in-destination experiences that help travelers make the most of their trip. Our team ships the end-to-end Activities shopping and discovery experience: search, browse, and recommendation surfaces, supply partnerships and content, and the AI/ML-powered personalization that connects travelers to the right activity at the right moment. As Activities grows its share of the whole trip, our mandate spans conversion, discoverability, and supply expansion across Brand Expedia.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the vision and strategic roadmap for the Activities shopping and discovery experience, mapping conversion, attach rate, and discoverability outcomes to delivery milestones, and communicate the narrative clearly to stakeholders.

  • Lead initiatives to bring AI/ML-powered personalization to product discovery, partnering with technical teams on model feasibility and tradeoffs for new AI-powered features.

  • Participate in engineering and architecture review to shape solutions that support the long-term product vision and limit tech debt.

  • Identify, influence, and align key stakeholders across supply, engineering, and cross-LOB product teams; drive decision-making in ambiguous conditions, including building financial valuations to size opportunities like supply expansion or attach rate growth.

  • Collaborate across teams to optimize end-to-end Activities user journeys, including B2B/API-driven distribution channels, and guide tradeoff discussions with UX to land financially viable, customer-centric designs.

  • Set and own product metrics (conversion, attach rate, supply growth), run experimentation and win-loss analyses, and translate advanced data analysis into stories that drive prioritization.

  • Own milestone and release planning for large, complex initiatives, proactively influencing prioritization of dependent work (supply, engineering, partner integrations) to keep delivery aligned with org priorities.

  • Manage a complex stakeholder landscape — supply partners, engineering, and cross-LOB teams — and coach teammates to help them reach their full potential.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with 8+ years of relevant product management experience (6+ years with a Master's).

  • Demonstrated experience owning roadmap, requirements, and delivery for a product or key capability using agile practices in a cross-functional environment.

  • Hands-on experience applying data science principles and the scientific method — using data, experimentation, and customer insight to guide decisions and tradeoffs.

  • Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across engineering, design, and business teams, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Comfort operating in ambiguous conditions, including reverse-engineering problems and taking calculated risks to drive outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Marketplace or supply-side product experience, ideally in travel, tours/attractions, or another two-sided marketplace.

  • Experience shaping product direction where AI/ML capabilities (personalization, ranking, recommendation) are core to the solution, in partnership with engineering and data science.

  • Track record of using advanced data analysis and experimentation to size opportunities and drive prioritization at the leadership level.

  • Experience with go-to-market or change strategies, partnering with Product Marketing, Sales, or Communications to drive adoption.

  • Skilled presenter in executive settings, with strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
