Vice President, Marketing and Advertising Analytics

Introduction to team

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.

Expedia Group is seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Vice President, Marketing, Advertising & Yield Analytics. This pivotal role will lead the analytics agenda across marketing effectiveness, advertising analytics, and advertising yield optimization, driving profitable growth through data-driven insights, scientific rigor, and strong business judgment. The role will sit on the CMO Leadership Team and will play a central role in shaping how Expedia Group measures and optimizes marketing investment, advertising performance, advertising pricing, and inventory monetization. The scope reflects the recent reorg to bring the advertising business under the CMO. The role will also provide key scientific and leadership input to the customer analytics function, with the Director of Customer Analytics in a dotted-line relationship to ensure strong analytical standards, experimentation rigor, and decision quality across the broader marketing and analytics ecosystem.

The role’s scope includes leadership across all advertising analytics verticals including product and commercial.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive marketing science innovation to improve return on investment and deepen consumer understanding

  • Oversee analytics for marketing spend, incrementality measurement, loyalty program effectiveness, strategic analysis of CRM, and capital allocation across a multi-billion-dollar marketing budget

  • Lead consumer analytics initiatives focused on churn reduction, engagement, and long-term value creation

  • Develop and implement advanced attribution models, elasticity measurements, and experimentation designs

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations directly to the CMO and marketing leadership team

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including finance, product, and technology

  • Own analytics for EG Advertising across ad product performance, campaign and partner insights, commercial performance tracking, and strategic growth initiatives

  • Lead display advertising yield and pricing, including pricing strategy, inventory monetization, forecast-informed commercial decision support, and optimization of revenue across formats, placements, and partners

Experience and qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading large-scale analytics teams in a complex, matrixed, global organization

  • Deep expertise in digital marketing analytics, incrementality measurement, and marketing science

  • Experience working with marketing budgets of $500 million or more annually

  • Experience partnering with product, engineering, commercial, and operations leaders to improve advertising and yield outcomes

  • Showcased ability to optimize revenue through pricing, inventory monetization, and analytics-driven commercial decisions

  • Strong background in e-commerce and marketplace dynamics

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytical insights into actionable business strategies

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise C-level executives

  • Advanced knowledge of attribution modeling, experimentation design, and customer lifecycle analytics

  • Familiarity with loyalty programs and CRM analytics is highly desirable

  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, tools, and emerging technologies in the analytics space

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences

  • Master's degree required, advanced degree in a quantitative field preferred

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $306,000 to $428,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $489,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
