Senior Paralegal

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.

Expedia Group’s Corporate Administration Team is responsible for managing 150+ legal entities across 50+ countries. The team works closely with tax, accounting, finance, treasury HR and other partners to ensure compliance with local regulations, licensing requirements and manages the overall corporate governance for the Expedia Group companies.

As a Senior Paralegal, you will play a key role in managing some of Expedia Group’s legal entities in a variety of countries across the globe, helping ensure that the subsidiaries remain properly maintained, compliance obligations are current and the business operates smoothly. In addition to corporate maintenance, you will support travel regulation compliance in Europe and Asia, helping protect the company’s ability to keep operating in a regulated travel markets.

In this role, you will:

Legal Entity Administration:

  • Support the formation, dissolution, qualification and maintenance of Expedia Group legal entities
  • Prepare, file and maintain corporate records, board resolutions, officer appointment, powers of attorney, annual reporting requirements and related governance documents
  • Maintain corporate minute books, entity databases and statutory records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, registered agents and government authorities on entity compliance matters
  • Track and manage filing deadlines, recurring compliance obligations and corporate calendar requirements across jurisdictions
  • Coordinate signature processes, notarization, apostille and legalization requirements for corporate and regulatory documents
  • Maintain legal intranet and other centralized data/information sources for Corporate Administration Team
  • Conduct legal research tasks in support of business plans and issues as they arise.
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks as needed

Travel Regulation Compliance:

  • Administer and maintain travel licenses and registrations in multiple global jurisdictions
  • Coordinate the preparation, submission and retention of licensing applications, renewals, supporting documents and other correspondence with regulators
  • Track renewal dates, notice periods, collateral requirements and jurisdiction-specific compliance obligations associated with insolvency guarantees
  • Maintain, renew and submit schedules and supporting documentation for insolvency guarantees, bonds, letters of credit, insurance-backed solutions and other financial security arrangements required for travel operations
  • Conduct legal research tasks in support of business plans and issues as they arise

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in a dynamic environment; experience in corporate governance, corporate secretariat, regulatory compliance or in the travel industry would be a plus
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships across multiple functions within a large business
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage multiple stakeholders and competing tasks
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in other languages is a plus

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: London, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week. We are unable to offer relocation assistance for this role.
