This role sits within our analytics organization supporting post-booking servicing experiences. The team uses data, experimentation, and analytical thinking to improve traveler outcomes, inform product decisions, and unlock measurable business impact. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across product, analytics, and leadership to solve complex problems and turn insights into action.

As a Data Scientist III, Analytics, you will independently lead analytical work that helps shape decisions, improve performance, and scale better customer and business outcomes. You will combine strong technical skills with business judgment to frame problems clearly, build robust analyses, and communicate recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
In this role, you will:
Lead analytical projects or small workstreams from problem definition through recommendation, delivering data-driven insights that influence product and business decisions
Extract, combine, and transform data from multiple sources to build reliable datasets for analysis, experimentation, and modeling
Apply statistical techniques such as regression, analysis of variance, hypothesis testing, and experiment design to solve business problems and evaluate impact
Use SQL, Python, R, or similar tools to analyze large datasets, develop scalable analytical approaches, and create clear, compelling visualizations
Partner closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to refine business questions, align on success measures, and translate findings into practical recommendations
Contribute to a collaborative analytics culture by documenting your work, sharing reproducible code, and providing guidance and feedback to more junior teammates
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
4+ years of experience in a data analytics role delivering insights and recommendations that drove measurable change or performance improvement across multiple projects
You have advanced experience using SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis, data structuring, transformation, and visualization
You have experience selecting appropriate measurement approaches for different business questions, including pre/post analysis, causal impact, multivariate testing, or bandit-style methods
You have a strong grounding in statistical concepts and know how to apply methods such as experimentation, regression, and exploratory analysis to business questions
You have experience communicating analytical findings to stakeholders with different levels of technical expertise and can translate data into a clear, concise story
You are comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and collaborating across functions to move analytical work forward
Preferred qualifications:
You have experience with large and complex datasets and understand common challenges related to data quality, performance, and scalability
You have working knowledge of machine learning concepts and approaches, including supervised learning methods such as linear regression, logistic regression, and clustering
You have experience selecting appropriate measurement approaches for different business questions, including pre/post analysis, causal impact, multivariate testing, or bandit-style methods
You create effective visualizations that prioritize clarity, accessibility, and audience needs
You value iterative delivery, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing through documentation, dashboards, and reusable analytical workflows
You have experience mentoring teammates, providing thoughtful feedback, and helping raise analytical capability across the team
