Principal Product Manager, Trip Management
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager, Trip Management, to define and drive long-term end-to-end vision, strategy, and delivery of post-booking and trip management experiences. You will define customer-centric trip experiences that give travellers confidence, guide them at every step of their trip experience journey, and make Expedia an indispensable travel companion.
You will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch and iteration, turning highly ambiguous problem spaces into clear user needs, robust product strategies, and executable roadmaps with platform enablement and AI‑enhancement at the core. You will influence senior leaders, align diverse stakeholder groups and drive coherent decision-making in ambiguous moments, anchoring decisions in customer-centric experiences.
You bring a strong platform mindset and will partner across product, design, data, and AI/ML to turn post-booking and trip management experiences into a durable competitive advantage in an AI-first world.
In this Role, You Will:
Define and drive the long-term product strategy, vision, and roadmap for the Trips experience, aligning outcomes to Expedia Group’s customer, brand, partner, and business objectives and turns our Trip Management experiences into a competitive differentiator.
Drive measurable improvements in traveler engagement, fewer contacts to service channels and repeat booking behaviour.
Partner with design, research, and AI/ML teams to deliver context-aware experiences and intelligent automation.
Influencing senior leadership and aligning cross-functional priorities.
Mentor product managers and elevate practices in discovery, experimentation, and outcome-driven road mapping.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer-centricity, and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of product management experience, including several years at Staff/Principal (or equivalent) level.
Proven track record leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and owning portfolios end-to-end.
Exceptional problem-solving and systems thinking skills; ability to structure ambiguity and deliver durable solutions.
Excellent communication and influence skills, including experience engaging VP+ stakeholders.
Customer-centric and data-driven, with proficiency in analytics tools and experimentation frameworks
Familiarity with web application architecture, APIs, data flows, and experimentation platforms.
Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products in a way that is measurable, safe, and aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.
Experience in travel, marketplaces, consumer platforms, or other highly complex, high-scale environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in content-focused AI/ML technologies (NLP, Topic Modelling & Clustering, LLMs, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)) and ranking problems & recommendation systems. You have shipped AI/ML-powered customer experiences at scale, including defining evaluation metrics and guardrails.
Demonstrated success in building and evolving platform capabilities, services, or shared components that power multiple product experiences or journeys.
Strong background in using advanced analytics, experimentation, and customer research to inform decision-making, including partnering with data science/ML teams on ranking, relevance, or recommendation capabilities.
Safely integrates and operates AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, with experience applying generative AI or predictive models to enhance content, personalization, or decision support in customer-facing products.
