Introduction to the Team

From airlines and hotels to financial institutions and other travel platforms, we power smarter, faster, and more impactful travel solutions through the most connected marketplace in the world.
The Technical Product Manager III role sits within B2B Technology, the B2B arm of Expedia Group that powers travel experiences for partners across the globe, from major airlines and global financial institutions to corporate managed travel and offline travel agents.
As a Technical Product Manager III on the TAAP Tech team, you'll shape the technology platform that enables thousands of partners worldwide to deliver seamless travel solutions to their customers, driving innovation at the intersection of product strategy and technical excellence.
This is your opportunity to work on high-impact, enterprise-scale products where your decisions directly influence partner success, platform scalability, and the travel experiences of millions, all while collaborating with world-class engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
In this role, you will:
Serve as the primary interface and communicator between product managers, engineering teams, stakeholders, and B2B partners, coordinating requirements, translating technical complexity into clear business context, and ensuring transparent, timely updates that keep all parties aligned and informed
Orchestrate multiple concurrent initiatives across teams and systems, identifying cross-team dependencies, managing risks, conducting analysis across diverse technology platforms, and balancing product, technical debt, and operational work to ensure efficient, incremental delivery
Bridge product vision and technical execution by collaborating with Product Managers on strategic epics and translating them into detailed technical specifications, during quarterly planning, working within engineering teams to create actionable stories, acceptance criteria, and technical designs that empower robust solutions
Drive quarterly planning and delivery excellence by creating roadmaps with clear milestones, managing team backlog priorities, leading sprint planning and refinement sessions, and partnering with engineering managers on capacity planning to ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes
Evaluate technical trade-offs and facilitate decision-making by aligning business and technical objectives, addressing design challenges collaboratively, and ensuring the team maintains clear, stable priorities that balance partner needs with platform scalability and maintainability
Own operational excellence and quality standards by establishing success metrics, overseeing validation and acceptance testing, driving incident investigation as first responder, and defining "definition of done" criteria that ensure sustainable, production-ready deliverables
Experience and Qualifications
You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field; or equivalent professional experience
You have 5+ years of experience in technical product management, technical program management, or software engineering roles, with a proven track record of leading complex, multi-team initiatives from concept to delivery
You're an exceptional communicator who adapts your style effortlessly, whether you're translating technical complexity into business value for product managers and partners, diving deep into architecture discussions with engineers, or providing transparent status updates to senior leadership, you ensure clarity, build trust, and drive alignment across all audiences
You excel at orchestrating multiple concurrent initiatives across distributed teams, proactively identifying cross-team dependencies, managing competing priorities, and maintaining momentum on parallel workstreams while navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving objectives
You possess strong technical fluency and systems thinking, you understand software development lifecycles (including web-based product development), system architectures (tiered, service-oriented, event-driven), APIs, data organization, performance optimization, and scalability. You can engage meaningfully in technical design discussions, trace dependencies across complex systems, and bridge product vision with scalable technical solutions
You have hands-on experience with agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), facilitating sprint planning, refinement sessions, backlog management, and cross-team coordination, with a data-driven approach to tracking metrics, identifying risks early, and driving continuous improvement
Experience with B2B platforms, partner-facing products, data technologies (SQL/NoSQL), cloud-based solutions, or coding is highly valued
