Introduction to team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.
An early-career individual contributor supporting cost management, financial analysis, and reporting for the B2B Finance organization. This role partners with cross-functional teams to track costs, support budgeting and forecasting, and deliver insights that drive efficiency and informed decisions.
In this role, you will:
- Supports the cost management cycle including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis
- Assists in tracking operating expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities across business functions
- Prepares standard cost reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking to support decision-making
- Analyzes financial performance and highlights key drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Partners with cross-functional teams (Product & Tech, Operations, Marketing, Sales) to understand cost drivers
- Ensures data accuracy by performing quality checks and reconciling financial information
- Assists in preparing materials for monthly business reviews and leadership reporting
- Supports continuous improvement of reporting processes and tools
- Responds to stakeholder requests in a timely and professional manner
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Able to interpret data and identify trends, variances, and insights
- Applies structured thinking to solve problems and support decision-making
- Communicates clearly and concisely with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Builds effective working relationships across teams
- Able to translate financial data into simple, actionable insights
- Takes accountability for assigned tasks and delivers high-quality work
- Proactively identifies issues and suggests improvements
- Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field , 1–4 years of of relevant professional experience
- Foundation in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
- Understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Proficiency in Excel (modeling, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Hyperion) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of cost management and variance analysis
- Ability to work with large datasets and translate into insights
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
Please note that this role is only available in the following location: Madrid, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.
