Senior Benefits Manager
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.
This role sits within People & Places org. and offers the opportunity to work closely with talented, mission‑driven colleagues while partnering with leaders across the business to solve meaningful challenges. It’s an exciting chance to make a real impact, gain exposure to the broader organization, and help shape how we support our teams, travelers, and partners worldwide.
You will lead a global team of three Benefits Specialists in enhancing Benefits functional capabilities, principles and playbooks to tackle complex business challenges and opportunities.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a credible resource for knowledge of Benefits and internal policies and procedures
- Manage the design, implementation and administration efforts of Benefits to produce solutions and facilitate improved performance
- Integrate timelines and milestones across projects, identifying areas of synergy or dependency
- Identify strategic issues and raise questions to help customers explore and understand their wider business challenges
- Use your thorough understanding of current business processes and challenges to recommend and match solutions to meet business needs
- Evaluate the progress of projects and make adjustments (e.g. to task order or timeline)
- Create and monitor metrics on performance across multiple teams and ensure efficient execution and effective delivery of work
- Assist others in keeping current on laws, controls and regulatory requirements framework and structure.
- Ensure organizational adherence to legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., reporting mandates, compliance requirements) when reviewing other’s work.
- Leverage your knowledge of internal and external market control environments to determine internal controls necessary to properly mitigate standard legal and regulatory risks.
- Resolve complex and non-routine benefit issues, managing cases from beginning to end
- Serve as an expert on how products/services are applied across a particular industry; recommends the best options for the business.
- Recognize staff potential and guide employees in developing skills by recommending appropriate training and sources of information.
- Create environment for team effectiveness, where strengths are known and built upon and learning is shared to build capacity.
Experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in a Human Resources field or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of working experience in a Human Resources field
- 3+ years of People Management experience
- Experience working in an international business across complex regions
- Understanding of tax, compliance and legal requirements
- Strong grasp of benefit risk models
- Strong working knowledge and experience of pension and benefits regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management and internal communication skills
- Vendor Management skills – RFPs, Annual Renewals, SLAs, Account Management etc.
- Experience leading Total Rewards as part of the Employee Value Proposition
- Experience with M&A impacts on compensation and benefits (including acquisition, merger and disposal)
Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: London in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.
