Introduction to team:
The Global Financial Technology organization is a strategic partner for all finance functions and a service delivery organization that ensures finance initiatives/dependencies are completed on time and within budget. As a part of the Financial Planning and Reporting team you will get to work on engineering financial data that forms the backbone of our core Finance processes for Expedia Group.
We are looking for Individual who can lead and develop a team responsible for designing, building, and supporting Oracle EPM Cloud solutions, with a strong focus on EPBCS, that enable accurate financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting. Translate complex business and finance requirements into scalable EPM architectures, models, calculations, and integrations that align with enterprise technology standards and the broader financial systems ecosystem. Provide technical and delivery leadership across the full development lifecycle—from solution design and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing platform support. Drive integration of EPBCS with other Oracle EPM modules such as FCCS, EPCM, EDM, and Narrative Reporting, while partnering closely with Finance and Technology stakeholders to ensure the EPM platform supports critical planning, reporting, and close processes and continues to evolve with business needs.
In this role, you will:
Technical Leadership & Platform Ownership: Provide technical leadership for the Oracle EPM platform, with a strong focus on EPBCS. Guide architecture, application design, and development standards across planning and reporting solutions, ensuring scalable and maintainable implementations.
EPM Application Strategy & Architecture: Oversee the design and evolution of EPM applications including EPBCS, while ensuring effective integration with other Oracle EPM modules such as FCCS, EPCM, EDM, and Narrative Reporting.
Data Integration & Platform Automation: Lead the strategy and implementation of data integration and automation capabilities using Data Management, EPM Automate, APIs, and enterprise data platforms to ensure reliable data flows between EPM, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
Operational Excellence: Establish and promote best practices for development, testing, release management, performance optimization, security, and environment management to ensure reliable and scalable EPM operations.
Strategic Business Partnership: Partner with FP&A, Accounting, and Finance leadership to align EPM platform capabilities with financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and close processes across the organization.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with enterprise architecture, data engineering, ERP, and platform teams to ensure EPM solutions align with broader enterprise technology strategies and integrate seamlessly with upstream and downstream systems.
Mentorship & Talent Development: Lead and mentor a team of EPM engineers and developers by fostering a strong engineering culture, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth and technical capability within the team.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive ongoing improvements to the EPM platform by identifying opportunities to simplify financial processes, improve automation, enhance user experience, and adopt new capabilities within Oracle EPM Cloud.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of experience working with enterprise financial systems, including strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Cloud and deep understanding of EPBCS (Planning & Budgeting Cloud)
Working knowledge of other Oracle EPM Cloud modules such as FCCS, EPCM, EDM, and Narrative Reporting, including experience designing or supporting integrations across the EPM ecosystem
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and management reporting processes within FP&A and Finance organizations
Proven experience leading engineering/development teams, mentoring developers, and building a high-performing, collaborative, accountable, and learning-focused culture
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business and finance requirements into scalable technical solutions and platform architecture
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with experience guiding teams through complex system, data, or integration challenges
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, and Technology leadership
Experience working in Agile or structured delivery environments and managing cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple systems and teams
3+ years of experience managing engineering or development teams, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development
