Introduction to the Team:

Pricing Machine learning Engineering team based in Gurgaon. The team works very closely with Machine Learning Scientists in a fast-paced Agile environment to create and productionize algorithms for price optimization pillar that directly impact the travellers journey and experience

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient services and applications, including end‑to‑end system design, low‑level design, API design, and data modeling for complex business domains.

• Lead the delivery of medium to large technical initiatives by breaking down ambiguous problems, defining clear technical approaches, and partnering with product, design, and other engineering teams to ship high‑quality solutions.

• Apply strong coding, debugging, and refactoring skills to produce reliable, secure, and performant code, and improve existing systems through systematic optimization, observability, and operational excellence practices.

• Drive and enforce engineering best practices across the team, including code quality standards, automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response, while mentoring others in these practices.

• Collaborate across multiple services and domains, contributing to shared platforms, reusable components, and integration patterns that enable fungibility and faster delivery across different product areas.

• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including familiarity with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Several years of professional software development experience designing, implementing, and operating production services or applications within a multi‑service or domain environment.

• Proven experience owning the design and implementation of services or features end‑to‑end, including system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling, with accountability for quality, reliability, and performance.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its ecosystem, along with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems fundamentals.

• Experience integrating or working with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows to enhance features, improve developer productivity, or optimize system behavior.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and evolving the architecture of complex, distributed systems operating at scale, including service decomposition, contract design, and data model evolution across multiple services or domains.

• Demonstrated track record of improving operational excellence through observability, performance tuning, capacity planning, incident management, and continuous improvement of reliability and scalability.

• Proven ability to influence technical direction for a team or domain by evaluating trade‑offs, making data‑driven decisions, and guiding adoption of engineering best practices, frameworks, and shared components.

• Hands‑on experience safely integrating AI/ML‑enabled solutions into production systems (for example, ranking, personalization, recommendations, or developer‑assist tools), with attention to quality, safety, and measurable business impact.

• Familiarity with AI‑driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, including leveraging modern AI capabilities to enhance system design, developer experience, or customer‑facing features.
