Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, APAC
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including our Global Finance Org., Traveler and Partner Service Platform, Legal Team, Strategy and Corporate Development Team, and People & Places Org.
Expedia Group is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join its B2B division. Expedia Group B2B connects partners across the travel industry to our leading technology, supply, and services - helping them deliver seamless travel experiences to their customers. From airlines and hotels to financial institutions and other travel platforms, we power smarter, faster, and more impactful travel solutions through the most connected marketplace in the world.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the multifaceted Commercial Finance team within EG B2B, working as a key finance business partner to the APAC Account Management team. The successful candidate will partner closely with the sales team by providing key insights and helping the team to unlock a range of commercial opportunities. The role holder will be proactive, influential and dynamic with the ability to make impactful contributions across the business.
In this role, you will :
- Own weekly trading analysis and reporting processes, identifying key trends and collating insights from account managers
- Support and drive commercial negotiations by assisting with preparation and execution of strategies for the region
- Analyze and assess current business performance trends and identify levers to aid in delivering growth and profitability
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support regional commercial projects and initiatives, and deep-dive into specific topics to support business growth
- Support the preparation of the annual plan and quarterly forecasting processes, including risk and opportunity analysis
- Collaborate with other EG finance teams (e.g. FP&A, Accounting Operations) on monthly close processes, assisting with variance analysis and insights
- Drive improvements in operational reporting, focusing on delivering greater insight to business performance
Experience and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Masters in Finance, Accounting or any related fields; 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Ability to analyze data to solve business problems and provide business insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to finance and non-finance audiences
- Able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and functions
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience and strong presentation skills
Please note that this role is only available in the following location: Singapore, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.
