Introduction to the Team:

How about Our Multi Channel Shopping Quality team is passionate and dedicated to delivering the best quality experience to our travelers ensuring they can discover, compare and book travel across Expedia Group's brands, helping them to explore the world, one journey at a time. We partner with product and engineering to ensure all aspects of the experience and supporting services and data are faultless.
We focus on innovation, efficiency, partnerships and consultancy, ensuring our partner teams have the right tools and strategy to ensure quality is at the front of everything with deliver. We leverage operational data and perform root cause analysis on issues to continuously improve our quality processes and tools, measuring and optimising with a single-minded purpose to deliver the best quality while reducing the friction to do so.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated test frameworks and quality assurance processes for complex software systems.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions across multiple domains.

  • Drive test strategy, coverage, and execution for critical services, APIs, and data models, ensuring robust end-to-end validation.

  • Mentor and guide engineers in best practices for quality engineering, test automation, and continuous integration.

  • Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, with a focus on quality, reliability, and performance.

  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, leveraging data-driven insights to continuously enhance quality and delivery.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to ensure release readiness and high product quality

  • Develop and maintain automated tests for APIs, UI, and backend services

  • Drive continuous improvement in CI/CD pipelines and test coverage

  • Analyze and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement

  • Lead root cause analysis and drive resolution of complex quality issues

  • Participate in cross-team initiatives to improve overall platform reliability and customer experience

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Proven experience designing and executing test strategies for complex software products and services.

  • Demonstrated expertise in automated testing frameworks, system design, API validation, and data modeling.

  • Deep expertise in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)

  • Proven experience leading QA for large-scale, customer-facing platforms

  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)

  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading quality engineering efforts for large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, reliability engineering, and automated test design for multi-service or multi-domain platforms.

  • Strong record of driving operational improvements and implementing metrics-driven quality initiatives across teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled testing solutions.
