Data Operations Analyst
Do you want a highly impactful role within a team that is growing fast? Expedia Group’s Global Data Sharing team is looking for a high-energy, motivated individual to support a portfolio of regulatory initiatives. We are looking for someone who will facilitate outstanding operational methodologies, coordinating across a diverse, globally distributed team to ensure that Expedia Group meets global data sharing requirements .
As a Data Operations Analyst, you will maintain strong alignment with key departments to ensure our response to evolving global data sharing requirements are well planned and effectively implemented. You will coordinate with our Data Infrastructure Engineer and Program Manager on reporting requirements and collaborate closely across multiple teams to identify and resolve any compliance-related issues that arise. We need someone with passion for problem solving and acute attention to detail. You will partner with regional leaders, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Tax, Legal, and Government Affairs to collaborate on action, complete compliance requirements and track overall progress.

In this role you will:
Lead by example in demonstrating Expedia Groups commitment to community partnerships
Work in a cross-functional team to understand global data sharing requirements in order to complete reporting deliverables, analysis and investigations
Extract, load and transform data from multiple sources for global compliance reporting
Prepare data sharing reports and analytics throughout the E2E reporting process
Prepare the delivery of data sharing files to government authorities through various transmission methods
Examine data quality issues for consistency and accuracy, identify resolutions
Continuously improve the compliance processes and methods, follow a control framework to identify and resolve compliance gaps
Partner with Product and Engineering to provide input on scalable process and tools
Establish quality control feedback loops between organizations and leadership within Expedia Group
Move quickly and deliberately, building data models and presenting data analytics to help guide decisions and testing to achieve breakthroughs
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent related professional experience
2+ year of experience with exposure to operations and /or E-commerce
Experience with regulatory compliance operations, two-sided marketplaces a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence others
Experience with creative and structured problem solving with ability to navigate through unfamiliar or time sensitive issues
Experience in SQL, Tableau, Excel, JIRA
Experience with Power BI, a plus
Experience with the use of various data analytic tools

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
