Our Technology Team partners with teams across Expedia Group to create innovative products, services, and tools to deliver high-quality experiences for travelers, partners, and our employees. Expedia Global Payments (EGP) is looking for top engineering talent to help drive the development of our payment platform, seamlessly roll out new payment methods, and continuously improve on our operational excellence and engineering practices. We offer a highly dynamic set of services that enable customers from all over the world to pay for travel in a variety of ways. We build, operate, and improve payment services for Expedia Group's brands, our suppliers (hoteliers, airlines, vacation rental owners/agencies, etc.), and our corporate needs. We do this accurately and at scale, processing over $100 billion payments in 55+ currencies in over 155 countries every year, and across a diverse set of payment options! This opportunity presents great technical challenges and the ability to have a tremendous business impact.

This position is focused on building the native payment experience for Expedia brands where you’ll work on exciting new features that make the payment experience seamless for users—adding new forms of payment, new capabilities, improving the current experience, monitoring and improving page performance, building alerting and monitoring for key metrics, and expanding the native payment experience to support multiple lines of business and points of sale.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain mobile application features with a focus on performance, reliability, and usability across multiple product surfaces.

  • Implement clean, testable, and maintainable mobile code, including system design (LLD), API integration, and data modeling aligned to established patterns and standards.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to translate requirements into high-quality mobile experiences that work across domains and lines of business.

  • Own and improve the operational health of your features and services through monitoring, logging, testing, and iterative refinement based on data and customer feedback.

  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and shared mobile components that enhance consistency, reuse, and developer productivity.

  • Apply and extend AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows in the development lifecycle, and safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve mobile product outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Experience developing and shipping mobile applications or features in a professional setting using a modern mobile tech stack (such as native Android or iOS).

  • Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end implementation for well-scoped mobile features or services, including integration with backend APIs and data models.

  • Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on customer-facing mobile applications at scale, with an emphasis on performance optimization, resilience, and observability.

  • Proven ability to contribute to mobile system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling decisions that support multiple features or domains.

  • Practice in driving operational excellence for mobile components, including alerting, instrumentation, and continuous improvement based on production metrics.

  • Exposure to safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled capabilities in mobile applications (for example, personalized experiences, intelligent recommendations, or in-app assistants).

  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI-driven developer tools or pipelines (such as intelligent code assistance, test generation, or CI/CD optimizations) to improve delivery quality and speed, including role-appropriate use of AI for mobile development workflows.
