Insight Analyst – Partner Journeys
Are you an Insight Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of data, AI, and business impact? Expedia’s Travel Partners & Advertising (TPA) organization is seeking an Insight Analyst to join the Insight Operations team within Partner Journeys.
In this role, you’ll help shape how Expedia generates and delivers insights about our partners’ experiences and performance. You’ll combine technical skills in data processing, automation, and large language models (LLMs) with analytical curiosity to surface the “why” behind partner behaviors, challenges, and opportunities.
What You’ll Do
Develop scalable analytical workflows that combine structured and unstructured data from multiple partner touchpoints to produce actionable insights.
Design and maintain data pipelines using tools such as Flyte, Databricks, or similar orchestration platforms to streamline insight production.
Use Python and SQL to extract, clean, and transform large datasets and automate recurring analyses.
Leverage LLMs and Generative AI to accelerate analysis of qualitative data (e.g., call transcripts, survey feedback), identifying themes, drivers, and opportunities at scale.
Support the creation of repeatable insight models and frameworks that quantify the drivers of partner satisfaction and commercial performance.
Collaborate with analysts and data engineers to design data structures and APIs that support real-time or automated insight delivery.
Manage code and releases through GitHub, including repository organization, version control, branching, and deployment workflows.
Work within cloud environments (preferably AWS) to manage data pipelines and deploy insight models.
Build intuitive, interactive UI components in React to make insights discoverable and usable across the organization.
Translate analytical findings into clear, evidence-based narratives and recommendations that help stakeholders take action.
Stay informed on emerging AI and data technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance speed, accuracy, and automation in insight generation.
Who You Are
Experienced in Python for data analysis, backend development, and automation.
Proficient in SQL for querying, joining, and transforming large datasets.
Familiar with workflow orchestration platforms (e.g., Flyte, Airflow, Databricks).
Comfortable using GitHub for collaboration, version control, and deployment.
Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) for data and model management.
Working knowledge of React for building user-friendly, data-driven interfaces.
Basic understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, including prompt engineering and integration approaches.
Strong analytical thinking — able to connect patterns in data to real-world partner outcomes.
Proven ability to communicate insights clearly and influence action across cross-functional teams.
2+ years of experience in an analytical or technical insights role, ideally within a data-driven commercial environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience building or working within data lake or data warehouse environments.
Familiarity with Qualtrics XM Discover, speech analytics, or other unstructured data analysis tools.
Exposure to MLOps or AI model lifecycle management.
Understanding of partner or customer experience frameworks and metrics.
