Expedia B2B (B2B) leverages the best of the Expedia Group’s partner-facing APIs and Template products to power thousands of travel partners around the world. As Expedia Group’s B2B arm, our mission is to provide its partners with solutions to fuel their growth.

B2B partners with businesses across a wide range of verticals, including some of the world’s largest financial institutions and online loyalty travel platforms, to help power travel for all travelers, everywhere. Online loyalty platforms represent a key strategic segment for B2B, supplying our products in the way that best suits their business, fully customizing a user experience using the full range of our products, from purpose-built APIs to template platforms. By providing technical expertise and access to over 700,000 properties and 200+ airlines and car rental suppliers we enable our enterprise-scale partners to offer personalized travel solutions to every slice of their member base.

The Senior Commercial Analyst will play a key role in providing commercially focused analytical insight for our largest financial institution partnership at B2B, to drive growth, increase profitability and identify competitive threats. Working with a team of commercial and product stakeholders, the Senior Commercial Analyst will be responsible for interpreting business problems, refining the requirements, and using their analytical capabilities to provide insightful answers and recommendations.

The ideal candidate would have good fundamental analytical skills, paired with experience of a commercial environment and the ability to communicate with many levels of stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Highlight proactive opportunities to improve top & bottom-line revenue through commercial projects and provide analysis of competitive threats

  • Extract and transform data from multiple datasets, combining this data as required for model building and analysis

  • Work with stakeholders to interpret, refine and scope requests for analytical support, framing business problems as analytical tasks.

  • Create clear and compelling visualizations that support data-driven stories, providing insights and not just data.

  • Automate frequent reporting tasks with scalable dashboards

  • Manage relationships with a team of stakeholders across commercial and product functions

  • Build and deliver business cases that support our stakeholders' goals with relevant data

Who you are:

  • At least 2 years’ analytical experience in online travel, e-commerce, banking, or another data-intensive commercial environment

  • Basic understanding of revenue drivers and commercial environments and the ability to apply this knowledge to analytics

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis and concepts in an easily understandable way for audiences with varied technical skills

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and transparently with a wide variety of stakeholders, with an understanding that the true objective may be different from the stated ask

  • Demonstrated experience of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations that drove change for stakeholders

  • Experience with SQL, with the ability to write it from scratch, search for relevant data and interpret existing queries

  • Experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau)

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $112,000.00 to $156,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $179,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
