Immigration Specialist

Introduction to Team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.


The Immigration Team at Expedia Group (EG) is responsible for managing immigration compliance and service delivery to meet the needs of our organization. We use our immigration expertise to ensure and maintain proper work authorization for EG employees and consult with leaders to help them make informed business decisions for attracting and retaining talent from all over the world.

We are looking for an experienced Immigration Specialist to join us. Based in our Seattle HQ office and part of our Total Rewards team, you will be responsible for guiding employees on immigration policies and procedures for the North America region.

Please note that this role is only available in the following locations: Seattle, in alignment with our flexible work model which requires employees to be in-office at least three days a week.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage immigration case support throughout the employee lifecycle journey within SLA to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Provide expert immigration consultative services to employees, managers, and business leaders.

  • Collaborate across all People Team centers of excellence areas to ensure immigration compliance, develop workflow solutions, engage with stakeholders, and advise on immigration-related business impacts.

  • Maintain all corporate documentation and employee records for compliance with local immigration laws.

  • Ensure accurate and timely advice from immigration vendors, monitoring and escalating any service-delivery issues.

  • Create educational content and provide training to various internal teams and business units.

  • Monitor, track, and share changes to immigration laws.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of U.S. immigration experience, with at least 2+ years working in-house or on-site supporting employees at an international organization.

  • Demonstrated success managing high-volume immigration caseloads.

  • Experience working with HR Information Systems (Workday, Service Now, etc.) and case management software.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Canadian and LATAM immigration experience a plus.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $67,500.00 to $94,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $108,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
