Senior Workforce Governance Analyst

The Senior Workforce Governance Analyst will play a critical role in enabling organizational effectiveness through precise and proactive position management in Workday. Sitting under Talent Enablement team, this role ensures that headcount, positions, and organizational structures are accurately represented and aligned to business needs. The ideal candidate combines strong Workday expertise, workforce planning insights, and a keen ability to partner across Recruiting team, HR Business Partners, Finance partners, and business leaders to ensure seamless headcount management.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain and manage position data in Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational design and workforce planning strategies

  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Talent Acquisition to ensure approved headcount is accurately reflected in Workday and aligned with budget and workforce plans.

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot position management workflows, ensuring consistency in processes such as position creation, updates, and transfers.

  • Perform regular audits and data integrity checks; create and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into position utilization, vacancies, and organizational trends.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on position management, educating HR partners and stakeholders on best practices and processes.

  • Identify and implement enhancements to position management processes in Workday to drive efficiency, scalability, and a better user experience.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 4+ years of experience in workforce management, HR operations, or HR systems administration, with a strong focus on position management.

  • Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, specifically in Position Management configuration and reporting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively across HR, Finance, and business functions.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in workforce planning or headcount management in a large, complex organization.

  • Advanced proficiency in Workday reporting (e.g., calculated fields, dashboards).

  • Change management and process improvement experience.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
