The Language Experience Manager - Brazil is part of our Globalization team which drives international growth by adapting our products, brands, and services to deliver exceptional experiences for travelers and partners worldwide.

We’re seeking an experienced Localization Experience Manager to lead our Globalization strategy in Brazil, focusing on Expedia Group’s products and localized content. This role is based in our São Paulo office, and collaborates closely with regional, global, and external teams to help all Expedia Group brands operate with a truly global approach.

In this role, you will:

  • Implement a strategic approach to language management at scale and be a trusted expert who understands the specific needs of the target market(s).

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and delivers the most engaging local experience.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive language strategy to enhance local user experience.

  • Define linguistic and cultural standards and quality expectations across brands and languages.

  • Build compelling business cases to support localization initiatives.

  • Analyze market and language data to identify opportunities and drive improvements.

  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business context and improve localization outcomes.

  • Provide expert linguistic and cultural guidance for assigned languages/markets.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process simplification (e.g., MT, GenAI).

  • Collaborate with other Localization Experience Managers to assess opportunities globally.

  • Support global initiatives such as quality evaluations, audits, competitor analysis, and GenAI implementations.

  • Ensure high localization quality across Expedia Group branded products.

  • Leverage product knowledge and market insights to meet customer needs.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.

  • Background in Translation, Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong understanding of localization processes, tools (CMS, MT, LLMs), and internationalization challenges.

  • Proven program management, analytical skills, and business acumen.

  • Deep knowledge of the Brazilian market, including linguistic and cultural nuances.

  • Experience with translation tools, automation platforms, and quality evaluation systems.

  • Ability to present and communicate effectively across diverse audiences.

  • Familiarity with emerging trends in technology, prompt writing, and quality management.

  • Experience working in global, distributed teams.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional language is a plus.

  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
