Software Development Engineer - II (Full Stack)

Expedia’s Enterprise Fraud and Risk ( EFR Tech ) is seeking a highly motivated software engineer who will help deliver outcomes in one of the best fraud and risk technology teams in the world, helping combat fraud through implementation of the best standard and technology solutions.
In this position, you will design and implement systems that will help prevent and remediate fraudulent activity on Expedia’s websites. You will write both frontend and backend code to develop and enhance systems that help fightback fraud, thereby having a direct impact on the company’s bottom line and day to day operations.
What you'll do:
Contribute to the end-to-end product life cycle for mid to large-size projects: Design, development, testing, deployment, and providing operational excellence and support
As a Software Development Engineer II, your primary responsibility is to design, develop, document, thoroughly test your code, and deploy it on production
You will get to build your own automation and reporting tools to provide capabilities around the components/applications you own and will participate in troubleshooting Production issue
Coordinate, and collaborate on multiple concurrent and complex cross-organizational initiatives
Effectively build and maintain a network of key contacts across the company, and leverage these contacts to achieve results
Communicate and work effectively with geographically distributed cross-functional teams
Drive for continuous improvement in software and development process within an agile development team
Who you are:
Strong technical proficiency, capable of problem solving and applying critical thinking. Experience with Generative AI tools and LLMs to write and review code is strongly preferred.
2-4 years Software Development work experience in using Java, Spring, Rest APIs, Angular, React, GraphQL and similar technologies
Experience with SQL and NO-SQL databases including SQL Server, MySQL, DynamoDB and MongoDB.
A deep understanding of software design principles
Experience working in the AWS stack
A self-starter who is consistently looking to innovate and find ways to enhance our customer’s experience, with ability to own features end to en
