We’re looking for a curious and passionate Software Development Engineer II from any background who thrives in collaborative environments. You’ll join a talented and creative team of engineers based in Geneva, working in an agile environment with global collaboration. Software Development Engineer II - Scalable Systems & Data Engineering

In this role, you will:

• Collaborate with diverse engineering teams, product managers, and machine learning engineers to understand business requirements and shape new product features

• Participate in technical design discussions and propose alternative approaches

• Take ownership of scalable, fast, and robust applications

• Test, debug, monitor, and actively support applications, APIs, and data pipelines

• Build technical expertise in new areas and share knowledge with the team

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience—including non-traditional or self-taught backgrounds

• 2+ years of experience in application development

• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures

• Experience in backend/API development using Java Spring Boot, Node.js, and TypeScript

• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with streaming technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in backend/API development with Java Spring Boot, Node.js TypeScript

• Experience in data manipulation and storage with relational databases, NoSQL databases, streaming technologies, Spark

• Knowledge of several Amazon Web Services

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
