Do you enjoy solving complex data problems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful outcomes? If so, we invite you to join the Marketing Data Engineering team as our next Data Engineer II.
Our Entry Clicks team focuses on collecting and maintaining a high-quality data platform to empower teams in Channel Management, Machine Learning Science, and Traffic Analysis with timely, accurate datasets that drive automated, data-informed decision-making at scale.
In this role you will
Design, build, and maintain large-scale batch data pipelines and related applications with a cross-functional, geographically distributed team of Data Engineers.
Implement scalable data processing solutions in public or hybrid cloud environments, applying sound software engineering principles and modern data patterns.
Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and data scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability, and observability.
Write clean, modular, and testable code using languages such as Scala or Java, and Spark, with attention to maintainability and performance.
Contribute to team-owned data products that serve downstream consumers across analytics, reporting, and machine learning platforms.
Analyze data patterns via SQL, and debug and resolve data quality issues, bottlenecks, and performance constraints in complex systems.
Develop visually impactful reports conveying key insights, trends, and actionable recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
Proactively identify areas for technical and process improvements, contributing to the team’s agile development practices and continuous delivery culture.
Leverage AI-powered coding assistants like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and code quality.
Participate in peer reviews, knowledge-sharing, and team retrospectives to support ongoing team growth and collaboration.
Experience and qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering platforms.
Experience building and maintaining at least one data pipeline or data product in a production environment, ideally within cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Proficiency in a programming language relevant to data (e.g., Scala, Spark), with moderate familiarity in other applicable languages.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with both traditional RDBMS and distributed data storage systems.
Exposure to technologies such as Hive, Airflow, Iceberg, Collibra, Power BI, and Qubole.
Commitment to testing, monitoring, and alerting as core components of building reliable systems.
Comfortable working in an agile, collaborative team environment, with the ability to clearly communicate trade-offs and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Business acumen, curiosity, and a drive to solve real-world data challenges that deliver measurable value.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
