Introduction to team:

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join Private Label Solutions (PLS). This role will be pivotal in developing and implementing cutting-edge ML solutions for revenue optimization, pricing strategies, and yield management. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with deep commercial acumen to drive substantial value for PLS and our partners.

In this role you will:

• Lead the development and implementation of sophisticated ML powered capabilities for revenue optimization at scale
• Architect end-to-end ML solutions that can handle high-throughput, low-latency pricing decisions across diverse partner segments
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ML solution design with business strategy and partner needs
• Be an integral part of a full stack team of Machine Learning Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers, fostering technical development of individuals and guiding technical implementation.
• Conduct and present advanced analyses to both technical and business stakeholders, translating complex ML concepts into actionable insights
• Partner with operations, analytics and internal product & technology teams to ensure models in production are driving expected business value, are fully compliant with legal and commercial guardrails and operate efficiently.
• Take end-to-end ownership by generating innovative ideas, building strong business cases, securing stakeholder alignment, and executing through to successful delivery.
• Stay at the forefront of relevant advancements in machine learning by conducting and guiding the team through research.

Who you are:

• Ph.D. (preferred) or master’s degree in computer science, Machine Learning, Mathematics/Statistics or another related field of science.
• Minimum 5+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning with proven track record of deploying large-scale ML models to production in high volume, low latency environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Comprehensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, particularly those used in revenue optimization, coupled with the agility to rapidly grasp and apply emerging techniques.
• Deep statistical knowledge and experience with multivariate testing at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior scientists and lead technical decision-making processes.
• Passion for staying current with the latest ML research and applying novel techniques to solve real-world problems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and navigate large organisations.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java and Scala, and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), big data technologies (e.g., Spark) as well as other technologies used to deploy models to production (e.g., Kubernetes, GHA, Airflow, Docker etc.).
