Introduction to the team:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commercial Finance team within Private Label Solutions (PLS). This is a key role, reporting to the Finance Manager in the Commercial Finance – Global Commercial Support team.
Private Label Solutions (PLS) leverages the best of the Expedia Group’s partner-facing APIs and template products with a laser focus on B2B, powering hundreds of partners around the world. As Expedia Group’s partner-focused arm, PLS’ mission is to provide its partners with solutions to fuel their growth.
The Commercial Finance team supports the financial objectives of PLS by providing analysis, insights and strategic recommendations to help drive growth and profitability. The Global Support team manages key central functions that support all global divisions, such as forecasting, reporting, template creation and target setting.
In this role you will:
  • Responsible for the monthly roll-forward, input and submission of consolidated revenue forecast models
  • Responsible for the quarterly roll-forward, input and submission of consolidated partner commission forecast models
  • Maintain and support forecast models for each division, including initial setup, ongoing support and final reviews, with attention to each division’s key differentiators and the resulting impact on forecast methodology
  • Assist in building forecast scenarios that reflect latest trends, risks and opportunities
  • Ensure model outputs align with Leadership expectations and make timely updates as changes arise
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, unusual variances and model-related issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes or model efficiency, and implement solutions through independent work or cross-functional collaboration
  • Collaborate with Finance and Analytics teams to drive greater accuracy, agility and simplification in our forecasting process
  • Serve as key point-of-contact for addressing stakeholder questions, providing timely responses and updates
  • Perform variance analysis against actuals, previous forecasts and prior-year results, as well as any ad-hoc analysis required
  • Analyse shifts in product mix trends to understand underlying drivers and refine forecast assumptions
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports summarising forecast outputs, key variances and underlying trends

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a 2:1 in Accounting, Finance or a related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Highly fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong Excel skills, including model building, formula optimisation, data validation and error troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to perform deep-dive analysis with large data sets, identify key drivers and investigate unusual variances
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently, meet tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and propose alternative solutions
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments with shifting priorities
  • Thrives in large, global, fast-moving organisations
