L’équipe Destinations joue un rôle central dans l’expérience de recherche de voyages en fournissant un contenu de haute qualité pour toutes les destinations. L’expérience de chaque voyageur commence par un lieu, et nous nous efforçons de comprendre les intentions des voyageurs à chaque étape.

Sans contenu de destination de haute qualité, même la technologie de voyage la plus avancée peut ne pas répondre aux besoins des voyageurs.

En tant que gestionnaire principal(e) en développement logiciels, vous dirigerez une équipe de développeurs chargés de fournir un contenu de qualité sur les destinations grâce à des services qui facilitent la découverte et la réservation de voyages sur notre plateforme.

Dans ce rôle, vous aurez les responsabilités suivantes:

  • Diriger et développer une équipe de développeurs de logiciels chargés de créer des services évolutifs et hautement disponibles qui ont une incidence directe sur des millions de voyageurs à travers le monde.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes Produit et Science des données afin de fournir des solutions centrées sur les voyageurs qui font progresser le secteur du voyage.
  • Favoriser une culture d’innovation, de collaboration, de responsabilisation et d’amélioration continue.
  • Fournir une orientation technique tout en assurant la livraison d’un logiciel de haute qualité dans les délais, préconisant la performance et la fiabilité de la technologie.
  • Soutenir l’équipe en offrant un encadrement, du mentorat, une gestion du rendement et un perfectionnement professionnel.
  • Promouvoir l’excellence en développement et les pratiques exemplaires en matière de développement, notamment l’intégration continue et la distribution continue ou le déploiement continu, les revues de code et l’automatisation des tests.

Votre expérience et vos compétences

  • Bilinguisme : maîtrise du français et de l’anglais exigée
  • Leadership prouvé avec au moins 8 ans d’expérience en développement de logiciels et au moins 3 ans d’expérience en gestion du personnel
  • Excellentes capacités pour communiquer et rassembler permettant de favoriser la collaboration et la motivation des autres
  • Maîtrise du développement d’applications dorsales, expérience technique pratique de la direction d’équipes de projet et de la définition d’orientations techniques
  • Expérience dans la conception et la livraison de systèmes infonuagiques à grande échelle
  • Passion pour le développement des personnes et la constitution d’équipes diversifiées et inclusives
  • Capacité à fonctionner dans des environnements ambigus et à assurer la clarté et l’harmonisation
  • Curiosité, concentration sur les données et volonté d’explorer des solutions innovantes à l’aide de technologies modernes
  • Bilinguisme en français et en anglais, un atout

Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering - Destinations Team

Introduction to team

The Destinations Team plays a central role in powering the travel search experience by providing high quality content for all destinations. Every traveler’s experience starts with a location and we strive to understand the traveler’s intent at every step.

Destination content is essential to the traveler’s journey as it informs, inspires, and builds trust. Rich, accurate, and engaging content helps travelers discover new places, set realistic expectations, and make confident booking decisions. It enhances the user experience by driving engagement and conversions on our travel platforms, supports personalization through structured data, and ultimately strengthens brand loyalty. Without high-quality destination content, even the most advanced travel technology can fall short of meeting traveler needs.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers focused on delivering quality content on destinations through services that drive how users discover and book travel across our platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and grow a team of software engineers building scalable, high-availability services that directly impact millions of travelers globally

  • Partner closely with Product & Data Science to deliver traveler-centric solutions that advance the state of travel

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement

  • Provide technical direction while ensuring delivery of high-quality software on schedule advocating for performance and reliability in the technology

  • Support your team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development

  • Champion engineering excellence and development best practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, and test automation

Experience and qualifications

  • Bilingual: Proficiency in French and English required

  • A seasoned leader with 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of people management experience

  • A strong communicator and team builder who thrives on collaboration and inspiring others

  • Proficient in backend development, hands-on technical experience leading project teams and setting technical direction

  • Experienced in designing and delivering cloud-based systems at scale

  • Passionate about developing people and building diverse, inclusive teams

  • Able to operate in ambiguous environments and drive clarity and alignment

  • Curious, data-driven, and motivated to explore innovative solutions using modern technologies

  • Bilingual in French and English preferred

The total cash range for this position in Montreal is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
