Account Manager - (PGA PLS)

Travel Partnerships and Advertising helps partners deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences, driving growth for them and the EG marketplace through competitive supply, a valued advertising and travel media network, and affiliate solutions.

The PGA Account Manager will be responsible for maximizing the value delivered by the Partner Growth & Agility team including through tackling the most important escalations and via strategic interaction with the market management team & our vendor teams.
Through account tier assignment or via local bets they will be responsible for highest value accounts or greatest growth opportunities in the team’s portfolio.
This role demands a deep understanding of how the PGA team functions, strong negotiation and influence skills, and the ability to leverage margin as a tool to drive net positive impacts for the company.
The PGA Account Manager will also be responsible for supporting recruiting, mentoring, and upskilling new PGA associates, contributing to their professional growth and the overall success of the team.

In this role you will:

1. Key Account Development: Responsible for our highest value or highest growth opportunity accounts through tier skilling and / or via focus on “top offenders” and / or via local bets focused on highest opportunity accounts for different EG products

2. Strategic Market Interaction: Collaborate with the market management team to drive maximum value for the business, utilizing deep knowledge of the PGA team's functions and capabilities. This will include hosting virtual events with hotel partner each quarter focused on priority subjects with clear calls to action. Partner with new connectivity specialist role on solving systemic or high value connectivity problems

3. Negotiation and Influence: Excel in negotiation and influence, with top performance in pitch rates and success rates, particularly for high-value, hard to pitch opportunities.

4. Local Bet Management: Take on local bets for high-value, hard-to-pitch opportunities, and use these experiences to train and upskill other team members in their direct team in successfully pitching and objection handling.

5. Escalation Management: Responsible for reviewing and negotiating the highest cost/value reactive case escalations as well as requests for change in Hotel Partner compensation/margin.

6. People Guidance and Mentorship: Support Area Manager in hiring and interviewing new PGA associates. Provide post onboarding support to new associates with buddy system, mentoring and skills development. Help with team quality assurance, ensuring new hires follow all procedures and processes correctly. Ability to step up and lead the team when Area Manager is on leave.

7. Supporting our vendor teams: via labs and calibration calls they will support our PGA Vendor Leads in developing market knowledge and objection handling skills of our vendor associates for their responsible markets

8. Product Knowledge Sharing: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all EG opportunities and actively share this knowledge with the junior PGA colleagues to enhance their capabilities. Be a leader in tool (e.g. Zoom Revenue Accelerator) and workflow adoption and knowledge. Have shadowed associates from the other two PGA teams to have a holistic knowledge of PGA across Account Mgt, Agile and New Partners. Proactively support new tactical product launches.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in key account management, with a focus on high-value or high-growth accounts within a B2B or travel industry environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic market interaction, including collaboration with cross-functional teams and driving business value through partner engagement.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills, particularly in pitching and closing complex, high-value opportunities.
  • Previous involvement in guiding and mentoring junior team members, supporting onboarding, and facilitating skills development.
  • In-depth product knowledge sharing experience, ideally within a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to proactively support new product launches.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Hospitality, Travel, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to address systemic or high-value connectivity challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to train, mentor, and influence colleagues at all levels.
  • High level of organizational skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with digital tools (e.g., Zoom, workflow management systems) and a strong aptitude for adopting new technologies (GenAI)
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to step up and lead in the absence of direct management.
