The Recommendations & Personalization team plays a critical role in shaping how we understand travelers’ intent and preferences to deliver the most relevant experiences at every stage of the journey. We're focused on using traveler data and AI to make every interaction more intuitive and meaningful.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Personalization platform to help define and deliver a key portion of the personalization strategy and roadmap. In this role, you’ll be responsible for prioritizing and launching features that tailor content, recommendations, or ranking models for travelers. You’ll collaborate closely with Data & AI teams, engineering, design, and other product teams to power experiences that respond to both trip-specific context and long-term preferences.
In this role, you will:
Own a portion of the personalization strategy and end-to-end roadmap, with a focus on making travel discovery and decision-making more relevant and effortless
Define prioritization frameworks such as traveler preferences & intent including which attributes to capture in the user profile, how to infer them from behavior and conversations, and how to replay them across the experience
Collaborate with the Data & AI team to develop new models ensuring high accuracy to build user trust
Drive alignment across functions—engineering, data & ai, design, brand, analytics, and other product teams —to ensure personalization features are consistent, scalable, and clearly tied to traveler experience and business impact
Support a culture of testing and learning: define platform metrics, launch experiments, and iterate based on measurable results
Evangelize the personalization vision across Expedia Group, using strong communication and influence skills to drive clarity and momentum across teams
Experience and qualifications:
8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years working on personalization, recommendation systems, ranking, or AI/ML-powered products in a consumer technology setting
Demonstrated success in defining and shipping products that rely on user-level signals and behavioral data to drive relevance
Strong technical acumen: comfortable working closely with data scientists, engineers, and architects to shape system capabilities and deliver high-quality features
Strong analytical and experimentation skills, with the ability to define KPIs and draw actionable insights from data
Excellent collaboration and influence skills—able to align diverse teams, manage cross-functional dependencies, and navigate ambiguity
Customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to translate complex problems into clear product decisions that improve the traveler experience
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, quantitative, or business-related field required; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
