The People Analytics team empowers Expedia Group to combine data, technology, and research to scale data-informed strategies and products that improve the employee experience and drive better business outcomes. As part of this mission, the Employee Listening function builds systems that elevate the employee voice and turn feedback into actionable insights.

As Senior Manager, Employee Listening, you’ll work at the intersection of product leadership, behavioral science, and employee experience. You’ll lead the employee listening strategy and a team focused on delivering scalable, innovative listening solutions across the employee lifecycle by leveraging research methods, advanced analytics, and AI/ML.

In this role, you will:

  • Set the vision and strategy for employee listening, driving a scalable roadmap that reflects the evolving needs of our workforce and business.
  • Develop and evolve listening systems that provide timely, actionable insights across the candidate and employee experience, including census and sample surveys, lifecycle touch points, and real-time feedback.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with partners in Talent, HRBP, Internal Communications, People Tech, and business divisions to deliver a connected listening ecosystem and influence how insights are embedded into decision-making and change.
  • Communicate complex insights clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.
  • Ensure scientific and methodological rigor are in all listening practices, including survey design, sampling, measurement, and analysis.
  • Incorporate advanced analytics and AI/ML to deliver more automated, personalized, predictive, and actionable insights.
  • Empower leaders to take meaningful action by making insights accessible and supporting interpretation.
  • Continuously improve our listening ecosystem by staying informed of business needs, external trends, and new technologies.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring clarity of roles, effective coaching, alignment of work to the broader people analytics vision, and ongoing growth.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Mid-career professional with a degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, People Analytics, or a related field
  • 6-8 years of experience in employee listening, survey methodology, organizational development, or experience research
  • Proven success in leading product strategy and employee listening initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exceptional ability to build and execute analytical plans that integrate listening data with other people and business data, and translate insights into compelling results stories
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Familiarity with data science principles and experience collaborating with analytics or AI/ML teams to inform product and strategy decisions
The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
