Account Manager – Greater China

We're on the search for an Account Manager, to join our Private Label Solutions (PLS) team in Shanghai. Private Label Solutions leverages the best of the Expedia Group’s partner-facing APIs and template products with a laser focus on B2B, powering hundreds of partners around the world. As the Expedia Group’s partner-focused arm, PLS’s mission is to provide its partners with solutions to fuel their growth. PLS partners with businesses across a wide range of verticals, including loyalty programs, airlines, travel agents, corporate travel management companies, and online retailers who re-market PLS rates and availabilities to their travelers.
In this role, you will:
Grow and manage a portfolio of existing and new PLS partners across Greater China
Account ownership of partner relationships post-launch with clear profitability/revenue targets and the identification and development of incremental revenue opportunities.
Management of a mix of partners from multiple segments with clear profitability/revenue targets.
Build effective client relationships and lead complex commercial negotiations
Influence the decision-making of both internal and external stakeholders through formal and informal negotiations/discussions.
Establish and deepen relationships with decision makers at partners and internal stakeholders within Expedia Group
Analyze external travel industry sales trends & articulate your learnings into constructive communication to drive business & financial acumen.
Assist in developing merchandising strategies for the Partners based on their specific needs, seeking to increase sales by utilizing new technologies, functionality, and product lines
Advise on technical integration and optimization opportunities, working closely with the internal technical teams to ensure optimal usage of PLS’s APIs solutions
Support customer issues in a timely fashion and provide resolution in collaboration with our customer support teams
Seek and remain curious to grow your knowledge in gaining competitive insights for the benefit of the portfolio & the team
Work closely with the Business Development team in the region to ensure smooth handover and/or transition with new accounts
Travel regularly and meet partners face-to-face.
Experience & Qualifications:
3+ years experience in account management, business development or relevant sales jobs. A strong understanding of hotel B2B distribution in Greater China regions is a plus.
Strong proficiency in English and Chinese language communications
Good at relationship building, leading the entirety of the relationship with the partner, including working cross-functionally across their organization with a commercial, product, customer service, technology, marketing, finance, and accounting teams
Work with all levels of seniority in the management internally & externally to drive results
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and under deadline.
Experience working in OTA/Ecommerce/Travel Retailers, a plus.
Technical Project Management experience, a plus.
University Degree, MBA or Master’s Degree, a plus.
