Introduction to the team
At Expedia Group, we are passionate about bringing together travel and technology to create innovative products that deliver better experiences for travelers. We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join the Product Marketing team within the Consumer Product organization. This team creates go-to-market strategies to bring consumer-facing products and features to market across our three core brands: Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo.
In this role, you will lead product marketing initiatives for the Hotels.com brand. You will cultivate collaborative relationships and serve as a key partner to the Hotels.com leadership team and your Product and Brand Marketing counterparts. With a deep knowledge of the Hotels.com strategy and target customer, you will champion customer-centric products, communicate the product vision, and develop effective go-to-market strategies that drive results for the brand. As a leader, you have experience diving into a complex ecosystem of stakeholders, and excel at communication, storytelling, and driving alignment across the organization, particularly with senior leadership.
In this role you will:
Build collaborative partnerships with cross-functional leaders across Business, Product, and Marketing teams to align and influence the product go-to-market strategy for Hotels.com.
Develop a compelling Hotels.com product narrative to guide the approach for taking new products to market through brand campaigns, seasonal releases, and Expedia Group’s annual travel conference.
Gain a broad understanding of the marketable experiences roadmap and champion opportunities that support the brand strategy and drive business results.
Lead the Hotels.com monthly marketable experiences review meeting with senior cross-functional leaders – determine agenda, develop materials, coordinate presenters, and steer discussions.
Work with solution product marketers to craft relevant, benefit-based messaging, positioning, and value propositions that resonate with the Hotels.com target customer.
Identify and champion needs of Hotels.com target customer to influence product roadmaps.
Support Brand and Performance marketing teams in the activation of their channels and analyze campaign results to drive ongoing improvements.
Drive ongoing improvements in the way the team operates be a champion for product marketing across the organization.
Experience and Qualifications:
You have 8+ years of experience in product marketing, product, strategy, or brand marketing in a B2C organization, with a minimum of 3 years leading go-to-market efforts.
You are an experienced influencer with executive presence and proven ability to drive consensus across cross-functional teams and VP+ leaders.
You can develop impactful go-to-market strategies that drive brand priorities and business objectives.
You have excellent communication and presentation skills, able to create an impactful narrative, compelling messaging and value propositions.
You have strong business acumen, extensive marketing and product development knowledge, and experience with customer segmentation strategies.
You have experience managing and leading large scale, global product marketing projects.
You have the ability to conduct market, competitor, and customer research to capture insights and assess market opportunities.
You are highly collaborative, and proactive in relationship building among cross-functional counterparts.
You are able to coach and mentor more junior colleagues and you proactively identify opportunities to improve the way the team operates.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $161,000 to $225,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $257,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
