Solutions Architect

SPA is an established and growing group inside the world’s biggest travel company. Expedia Group is looking for experienced technologists with strong technical capability as well as business acumen, with the ability to think strategically while defining technology solutions that solve the complex business needs of our partners.

As a Solutions Architect at Expedia, you will be responsible for defining solutions with a focus on demand generation, traveler acquisition and AI, solving for the business needs of Expedia’s Brands. You will be part of our Strategic Partnerships & Affiliates (SPA) organization within Expedia Group where you will learn and grow as a key contributor to our commercial, product, and engineering teams. As part of the Strategic and Enterprise Partnerships organization, you will play a critical role in working closely with Expedia product, operations, commercial, and technology organizations as well as our partners.

In this role, you will:

• Define and design innovative solutions that align with Expedia Group’s strategic goals and client priorities

• Collaborate across commercial, product, operations, and engineering teams, contributing to high-impact initiatives and learning from top industry professionals

• Partner with business development and incubation teams to understand business objectives and identify opportunities or gaps in current technology

• Design comprehensive solutions using Expedia’s Travel Platform, incorporating architectural best practices including security, resiliency, and integration standards

• Serve as the primary technical interface for partners, translating business needs into scalable, forward-thinking technology solutions

• Act as a domain expert in cross-functional feature delivery, influencing technology adoption, and ensuring successful outcomes for Expedia Group and its partners

Experience and qualifications:

• A seasoned technology professional with 10–15 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree and MBA (or equivalent)

• Skilled in solving complex technical challenges and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

• Experienced in working directly with partners to align business problems with technology solutions

• Knowledgeable about the travel industry and familiar with travel technology products and operations

• Proficient in AI technologies and aware of their maturity and application in real-world scenarios

• An analytical thinker with excellent communication, public speaking, listening, and consultative selling skills

• A collaborative team player who:

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $161,000 to 225,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $257,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
