Senior Strategic Initiatives Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to join the Office of the CEO of Expedia Group. This is a strategic role, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff to the CEO, where you will play an integral part in supporting the CEO-level priorities and strategic initiatives. As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing key strategic projects, driving agendas for key meetings, and providing support to the Chief of Staff, CEO, and the Leadership Team. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is adept at managing competing priorities with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Support the Chief of Staff in the development of the company’s long-term strategic objectives and execution on key priorities, ensuring alignment across divisions

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders across the organization to prepare agendas, facilitate communication and ensure the timely delivery of key priorities

  • Project Management: Lead and manage special projects and initiatives in support of the Chief of Staff to the CEO, ensuring that timelines and objectives are met

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in the preparation and review of internal and external communications, including board materials, executive briefings, and strategic presentations for many audiences

  • Ad hoc Support: Provide executive support including in facilitating decision-making processes and ensuring proper support to the CEO for her to drive her strategic agenda

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in management consulting, project management, or strategic planning role, ideally in a top-tier consulting firm and/or fast-paced, high-growth technology organization. MBA preferred.

  • Proven experience working with senior levels of the organization including with executive teams, senior management, and key business leaders

  • Strong background in cross-functional collaboration, business operations, and leadership support

  • Experience in a tech or innovation-driven industry is preferred, with an understanding of industry and market trends and opportunities.

  • Experience in supporting execution of cross-functional strategic initiatives that are top priority for the business

  • Leadership and Influence: Ability to effectively engage, collaborate with, and influence colleagues and leaders at across all levels of the organization, driving effective alignment across teams and initiatives

  • Strategic Thinking, and Data-driven Problem Solving and data: Deep understanding of business strategy, with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and drive productive solutions. Ability to problem-solve at all levels of the business from operational details to high-level business strategy. Ability to breakdown complex problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and present compelling recommendations

  • Strong Organizational and project management skills including the agility to multitask across competing priorities under time pressure. Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, delivering to deadlines and desired outcomes

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to draft compelling executive summaries, presentations, and reports for diverse audiences.

  • Integrity & Growth Mindset High degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality and integrity. Curiosity and learning mindset to continually do better for the business

  • Adaptability: Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a positive can-do attitude

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
