Business Development Manager, Lodging Media Sales (Seoul)

Travel Partnerships and Media (TPM) helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) position sits in our Media Solutions division of TPM, dedicated to building creative media partnerships for travel advertisers enabling them to use Expedia's network of leading travel brands and global sites.
We have revolutionized the way brands reach and connect with online travel consumers, emerging as a leader in online advertising among travel and e-commerce brands. With a growing product portfolio offering a multitude of advertising and sponsorship opportunities, our Media Solutions team at Expedia has created a viable marketing platform for advertising partners to reach the 131 million worldwide monthly unique visitors that visit Expedia Group sites.
Are you someone who is interested in driving a fast-growing, travel media business? Do you love to harness the power of e-commerce to help partners efficiently meet their goals and optimize their results? We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Lodging Media Sales business.


Your primary responsibility is to drive new account acquisition, launching and monitoring performance of new campaigns. You will also have revenue and management responsibility for a portfolio of existing online advertiser accounts. You will develop market specific strategies to reach a quarterly revenue target while producing industry leading results for your partners. You will uncover and implement revenue growth initiatives and deliver measurable value to the accounts you lead.

In this position, you will:

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects that ensures attainment of quarterly revenue targets
  • Engage with partners to understand their business needs and goals while developing effective marketing strategies to achieve those goals
  • Develop a territory and market level sales strategy to grow the Expedia Media Solutions Lodging Media Sales business
  • Utilize analytics skills to understand performance data and trends to then make forward thinking suggestions through analyzing trends. Uncover high return on investment opportunities and present them to clients
  • You'll actively educate partners on the features and functionality of the product so they can best utilize it independently
  • Monitor day-to-day performance of advertising partnerships and resolve issues as they arise
  • Deliver continued improvement in revenue contribution to Media Solutions through a consultative partner first sales approach
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals as set by sales leadership
  • Partner with other media sellers and client facing teams through Expedia, Group to achieve the best results possible for the company and partners

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Sales or Travel industry or related field; or equivalent related professional experience
  • 3 years of sales experience in Media Sales or the travel industry
  • Fluent in English and Korean required
  • Proven ability to meet revenue targets and effectively present proposals & provide influence at the senior management level.
  • Experience in providing consultative sales support and building long lasting client relationships.
  • Validated ability to collaborate with peers, managers, and other client facing teams
