Travel Partnerships and Media

Travel Partnerships and Media helps partners, including hotels, airlines, destination marketing organizations (DMOs) and more, deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply, our leading advertising and travel media network and affiliate solutions.

Make An Impact:

The Expedia Activities line of business sells activities and services including theme park tickets, theatre shows, tours, attractions, and ground transfers to consumers before they leave on their trips and/or while they are in destination.
The individual will be passionate about leading a portfolio of airport transportation (AT) accounts, making sure products are available for booking on Expedia Group points of sale by our customers. The account portfolio will, in the main, be focused on a specific region, e.g. AMER, but it will also contain strategic or global accounts that demand a deeper level of experience and expertise. This position has daily interaction with external partners, other members of the Activities LOB team, and internal managers for multiple lines of business.

What You'll Do:

  • Record, track, and ultimately achieve quarterly targets as set by the business, documenting progress through weekly status updates
  • Lead a diverse portfolio of suppliers across the globe, including key strategic partners, through a consultative approach and always adhering to policies of timely engagement
  • Execute commercial plans to ensure an outstanding GT portfolio for Expedia customers and improve revenue for the company
  • Work directly within the Activities LOB to increase conversion rates and revenue in key destinations by recommending and prioritizing areas for optimization
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of how and where we sell GT to customers on Expedia channels
  • Regularly audit performance and system reporting to validate the account portfolio is in an optimum state
  • Conduct competitor benchmarking and analyze the evolving demand of Expedia customers
  • Negotiate and secure attractive rates, margins, and other commercial terms
  • Educate supply partners on how to maintain and optimize their products on Expedia by using data to target the highest return on investment
  • Resolve day-to-day problems such as accounting, invoicing, content changes and customer service issues by following agreed processes
  • Produce regular reports on partner activity, including weekly/monthly sales and margin reports, regular partner satisfaction surveys, and ad hoc analyses as needed
  • Help to identify, prioritize, and drive operational improvements, such as new service types, streamlined redemption and accounting processes
  • Support & be able to clearly communicate the approved GT strategy to the wider team
  • Competently run projects end-to-end when required, clearly communicating progress and risk
  • Conduct business meetings and QBR’s by attending calls, tradeshows, partner briefings, and individual account visits to review information processes with existing partners, develop promotional ideas, and cultivate new supply relationships
  • Lead multiple competing and shifting priorities across the portfolio of existing and potential business
  • Embrace a one-team spirit by working collaboratively in a team environment, consulting and influencing with individuals at all levels, to achieve business outcomes
  • Evangelize the GT business to internal and external stakeholders by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of both internal process & industry acumen whilst demonstrating outstanding and lead-by-example behaviours
  • Provide ad-hoc support to leadership on presentations, reports, and projects as needed

Experience and Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 5+ years working in an account management role
  • Travel industry or transportation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing relationships, including negotiating agreements.
  • Track record of achieving quantitative business targets
  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and drive improvements in operational processes and supporting technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
The total cash range for this position in Orlando is $127,500.00 to $178,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $204,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
